In the updated version of the series, the titular superheroes are now disillusioned twentysomethings who resent having lost their childhood to crime fighting. Will they agree to reunite now that the world needs them more than ever?

Hence why there's a 95% chance I will be disappointed with it. I was one of those people who grew up grabbing Archie comics from the grocery and book stores. Riverdale is just. . . But Arrow I've heard is good? Idk I have friends that watched and enjoyed it.

You might be spot on by saying it's an edgier Charmed with a slightly different theme. Hopefully the PPG reboot cast doesn't hate each other though. Alyssa Milano and Rose McGowan are still arguing with each other on Twitter to this day. Big yikes.

I was super obsessed with PPG when I was a kid, I would have been so excited for this news had I been 8 years old, but as an adult... just no. I really wish they would stop live-actioning everything. The casting is never right imo. Bet none of them will even match the haircolor that the OG powerpuffs have

I didn't know about the Charmed drama. Would you feel like getting into that? They played off each other well enough on the show.

I only know some bits and pieces, as my mother was the huge Charmed fan and not necessarily me (although I do like the show, I was just was too young to fully understand the content when it originally aired). So from what I've gathered via her and through the rabbit hole that is the original Charmed series, there was a lot of back and forth about off-screen dynamics between the cast, salaries, etc.

Some of it has become so deep rooted that it resurfaces, such as what I stated previously of Rose and Alyssa arguing with each other on Twitter.

I'd rather not link it here for obvious reasons, but Rose McGowan still has multiple tweets up from a 2-3 days ago that are very. . .pointed, to put it mildly. It's a shame since they did seem to do fairly well on the show. But that's the "beauty" of acting right? (Being in character until you're backstage. And sometimes not even then.)

Side note: I didn't even bother much with the PPG animated TV show reboot, although the cast seemed personable enough during behind the scenes videos.

The power puff girls already had an animated reboot that didn’t go too well. And now they’re rebooting it again combined with live action stuff that nobody asked for? It’s quite saddening how cartoon series are being milked to the point their reputation has been tainted by the negatives.

So they are just Powerpuff Women. So they’re going to date the Rowdy Ruff Men. Another dumb teen drama. Lame. I think a live action show with actual kids would be a hit with today’s youth.
Curious to who is going to play Him though.
