From the Nintendo Direct mini which was uploaded today under the radar, they talk about Bunny Day and then this new update with Lief for Earth Day.

Thoughts? BUSHES?? lol

He may only be available for this event though so I assume he's not a permanent character but who knows yet.

Yeah there was no build up to it whatsoever lol, it just randomly appeared on my YouTube feed

I saw that! Exciting. Lief is one of my most favorite NPCs. I do hope they give him a shop to set up in our island instead of just coming for an event though. The dream would be that the update will bring an expansion to Nook Cranny’s where our boy Lief would have a station for his bushes and plants.

yea they said hes coming for an earth day event so i don't think hes gonna be a permanent npc like able sisters or timmy and tommy
