Letting Villagers Leave

I've not been playing Animal Crossing very long... when Bree said she was thinking of leaving I was upset. We're best friends... aren't we? I convinced her to stay

I mentioned this to my partner and he showed me a list of all the possible villagers out there and pointed out that if I didn't let them leave I'd never meet all these other exciting looking people!

Fair point, so when Pierce asked, I wished him good luck. On Monday he reminded me about his leaving day, and once again, I wished him well. He's finally in boxes this morning. I feel a little sad to see him go. We got along just fine, although he did like to talk about his muscles a lot!

However, I am very excited to see other villagers move in now I haven't been playing long enough to have any particular expectations or desires for the next villager, I'm just excited to see what happens!

I did that at first too, then I just decided I wanted specific villagers... Even if it's a villager I don't particularly like, I always find it makes me a bit sad when they move out.

yeah I kinda feel like that atm :> I do have some dreamies but they probably aren't permanent, I really want to meet new villagers mostly :>

I'm sure it will be a struggle to let some of them go... Poppy, Bree and Walt are all really lovely Playing hide and seek with me, and giving me random presents just for saying hi

But I'm really looking forward to meeting new villagers! Ozzie was staying on my campsite yesterday and it was lovely to meet him, if just for a day

If plot resetting weren't so annoying, and I didn't have to leave space for a house to do this, I would probably play this way, too. I just think it would be much more interesting to have lots of different villagers come and stay in the town, and it's nice to start new friendships.

If it's a villager I just don't want in my town, I will let them go, but most of the time if I can prevent it, I will. I have a crazy odd attachment to these little pixel animals and I hate to see them go, lol.

I felt that way whenever any of my original villagers wanted to move out. Now I'm just trying to get my favorite ones to move in.
