Letting Villagers Go

I've only had my town since around Halloween, and have been filling it with villagers I want. The time has come that Cherry, my only uchi, is thinking about moving. I don't want her to go, but she's one of the few I'd think about letting go. I have no idea what to do. I like her, but I like having a space open for the few I really want. Sigh. If only Pippy would move.

If you think that you could let her go without too much remorse, I would recommend doing so. Looking at your dreamie list, though, if you let her go, you won't have any uchis in your town. So I'd only let her go if you're okay with not having an uchi.

if you continue to talk to her she will doubt if she really wants to move and you can make her stay and then, cycle out Pippy

I know I can make her stay, but cycling takes so much time now that I don't have many I'm willing to let move. The one person I want out never pings haha. I'm really torn too because I won't have a uchi and I don't like most of them besides Phoebe.

If you don't like most of the uchis, then maybe it's for the better if you don't have one? I've found that most people who don't like a certain personality type will simply keep one around for the PWP suggestions, then let them leave. Maybe you could do that?

Of course, she's asking to leave right now, so I'm not sure if you want to let her stay for a while and wait for Pippy to ping to move, or if you'd like to let her go right now. It's totally up to you.

Time traveled ahead 2 days after telling Cherry to stay and Aurora tells me Pippy is thinking about moving. Thanks for the advice guys.

No, you don't have to. In my old town I had 4 crankies, 3 smugs, 1 snooty, 1 jock, and 1 lazy I think. This time round I'm aiming to have one of each type just for the PWP suggestions, but you can have whoever you want in your town.

tell her to stay, but time warp to the date she wanted to move, you wont lose a villager by doing this but the next person in the line to move will ping to move. i did this for about 4 months (time traveled not real time) in my main town to get rid of a random move in and i didn't lose any random villagers. and once i got the guy i wanted out to move out, i went back in time. (since it's only considered one day.)


the only time i don' t recommend this method is when you don't have the beautiful ordinance put into place because your flows will die and weeds will form, but with the ordinance it wont be even a fraction as bad. :')

i was gonna say use the 2 days back/2 days forward method, but this is even better, do this!
if cherry is a dreamie, keep her. don't let her go just because you want someone to move and pippy won't, it's not worth it. plus you'll lose your only uchi, and then if you ever wanted another one you'd either have to cycle 16 villagers for cherry or find another one you like.​

I got rid of Cherry a few days ago. I have no uchis now but whatever. Not my focus.

Yeah PWPS haven't been my focus lately. If that changes I'll seek out a uchi. I've seen Phoebe at campsite twice
