She saw a portal floating in the air, and thought, "That must be my way out!"

Just jumped up to try to reach it but something grabbed her

It was a tentacle, protruding from the thing that claimed to be her mother!

Rena started to kick her other mother

"No. You are one of us now," her fake mother said with an evil grin.

No I am not! Rena bit her tentacle resulting in being let go

Rena leapt towards the portal and managed to get through just before it closed behind her.

Where am I?

Rena began to wander

all of a sudden it began to snow!

Rena was at her own house, snow was falling outside, and her parents were standing by the tree!

Rena ran up to hug them

You won't believe what just happened to me

"Whatever it was, sweetie, I'm sure it was just a dream," said her father.

but it was more like a nightmare

Her parents hugged her and Rena breathed a sigh of relief, hoping that the darkness was behind her.
