Let's come clean here: How many of you have used a guide for this game?

Yes, I have used guides for hair, coffee at the roost, hair styles and any more that needed and I don't feel guilty in any way at all.

Of course. I used a guide when I first started playing so I could pick a cool face for my character. I also like to check out what kind of furniture is available to see which ones I would like to work towards getting. Animal Crossing is one of the few games I find it is worth it to buy a player's guide.

I like getting things done quickly, so I use guides xD Plus I don't think I'll ever remember which answers to Rover's questions give you which face.

I use Thonky to look up Redd's art, birthday presents, coffee preferences and how not to end up with spiky orange hair.

The rest I've figured out. ;)

I've always used guides, since acww days when I called my first town 'home' - in answer to Kappn's question as to where I wanted to go.
I certainly don't feel guilty about it, I get more out of the game by using guides. Saves a lot of frustration, especially for some of the events and for Gracie fashion checks (finding out what styles clash the hard way does not appeal to me).

I do see that villagers give a lot of info during everyday dialog & its possible for example to get their coffee preferences without a guide.
Its a matter of choice. Can be more of challenge to play without them, but well I do use them, even now 5 years into the game. (incl the one for coffee).

I think guides are necessary in some occassions like looking at furniture to see what you want. Plus they save time and bells :p Like refurbishing or Redd's tent. Then there are features that don't really require guides if you want to play authentically, like flower breeding or villager information (especially the coffee orders). I have used guides for both of my towns because I focus on my town and home themes rather than actual gameplay. I would love to get another NL game and play it authentically, but I don't have the money or the time when I can barely make time for two towns xD I also want to start a WW town but I don't want to delete my character, even though I want to start completely over, so I'd need to buy another WW game but I don't have money for that. I'd definitely make time for that game though.

i've used a lot of guides oops, i also like to just read through guides whether i know about the things in it or not when i'm bored

I use them all the time. To choose my mayor's hairstyle and color. To choose a birthday gift for my villagers. To help with working at Brewster's cafe. And, when I was filling the Museum, I used one to not get suckered into buying fakes from Redd.

I'm pretty sure there are other guides that I use, but can't think of at the moment.

I didn?t really use a specific guide. I did my own independent research when I wanted to know something... does that count?

Considering the sheer number of items, events, neighbors, fish/bugs, and customization for pretty much everything looking up guides to help along the way is almost a necessity... Especially for those like me who want everything to be perfect

i don't know why there's guilty for using guides... that's what they're there for and it's not bad to want more information or to learn about how things work

I do own the Prima 4 in one guide. It also cover Mario Kart 7, and Link Between Worlds. Lots of errors in there. Very confusing caf? section, but the calendar is nice.

I use guides a lot because I get curious and don?t always know how to do/get things. Most of the time they?re for little things like villager personalities, how to get silver/ gold tools, flower hybrids, etc.

Guilty of guides just sounded kinda funny in my head. 'Cause they start with the same "gu" sound. The yes/no options were funnier in my head ^~^"
Again, don't wanna come off like I hate guides. I use them a lot ^_^ I was just curious about how many of us use guides :D

I use guides all the time and I don't feel bad about it. :D It means I don't have to struggle excessively to find out about certain things and it reduces the amount of mistakes and accidents.

Oh, absolutely. I wouldn't be lost without guides, however it's just the little things that I check when I use them. I shamelessly use one for Redd's art (unfortunately I do not have an artistic eye and cannot spot the mistakes most of the time), to check efficient hybrid combinations, and which bugs/fish I can catch that month.

I used guides for crazy redd art to know which are fake, the hair guide for shampoodle, hybrid combination guide to know how to breed flowers and I have used gracie fashion check guide to know which theme the clothes are.
