Wish I can trade tbt, nmts, igb for a left joy con. JK.

Seriously, it is getting worst by the day. All five of my left joy con drifts. Three should still be under warrantee but Nintendo repair center was closed. I might buy the $10 and change is myself. Smh.

I think that the control sticks on the joycons are just so sensitive to dirt n stuff that when they get even a little bit dirty they just start messing up. I haven't really experienced full-blown joycon drift but I have had occasions where my player in NH would jsut start walking for no reason without me touching the control stick (though after wiggling it around a bit it stops).

That really sucks that their repair center is closed. I know if you try to send it back to them to be fixed/replaced it can take weeks to return it to you. Hopefully you can get it sorted out soon!!

i got a shipping label from the repair center last night! i submitted a repair order sometime in april, i think
hope you get a repair soon!

yea... i was thinking of switching the thumbstick. the part is like $10 on amazon. Im reluctant because i know some of the joycon is still under warrantee.

for those who needs the link:

ty... i couldn't get through on the phone. I ordered the parts. It shouldn't be too hard since I change the housing on two of the joy cons.
Oh yah, housing is was more complex compared to the left joy con fix. I just have fat fingers so those ribbon cables...lol

Me too!!! I used point tweezers now. Everything is so precises it's so annoying. Especially aligning the the tiny bumper rail.

fix was not that bad. would def recommend if you're capable of doing it.

I’ve been thinking of doing this. Which part did you buy and does it feel just like the original joystick?

My brother bought a joycon repair kit for $20 I believe and using tutorials, he replaced the joystick. He says it feels just like the original one.

i went with this:

it feels like the nintendo one. not OE but seems to be okay. I'll let you know in a couple of days if there are any significant difference.

i was debating on this :

Good luck!! Sometimes you gotta just do it yourself. At least you'll learn something new from the procedure!

my right one drifts. I get dizzy every time I go into my house.

i could imagine. it's like the most frustrating thing ever!

I had pretty bad joycon drift on my left one aswell, it stopped me from wanting to play anything out of the dock for a while. However once I finally just decided to try and fix it myself, I was able to get rid of it by putting some of my contact lens solution on a cotton bud (or q tip for americans) and lightly dabbing it under the flaps of the control stick. Although i'm sure it voids the warranty on it, it's a good backup to tryout if you're prepared to do it.

Thanks! I’ll check it out. Mine has been drifting really bad and definitely needs a fix.

when i opened the joycon there were no seals.... there is really little to no way to know if you tamper unless you thread the screws really badly.
