Leaving space for future shops?

I decided to designate an area of my island to whatever shop come next, and it got me thinking about if others did the same. Did anyone else leave space? Or do you have any plans for if they add new shops? I’ve seen a ton of finished islands so I’m super curious how people will react and make room.

I have a lot in my "downtown" reserved for the Roost if it returns.

I took future shops into consideration.

For now, I put in furniture or planted trees so it wouldn't look so empty.

i have my shops up and down a market alley kinda deal and i have some spots covered in stalls but could easily remove them for future shops brewster please come back to me i miss your coffee

i left space for the roost and that’s about it tbh lol - i maybe have room for 1-3 more buildings depending on size but not much else aha

I did! I don't think I'll complete my island entirely until all of the buildings are out, honestly. It seems like we could get at least 3 more buildings and I'm pretty excited.

I left two spaces open for whatever the game may bring lol. Those spots are currently dedicated to hybrid breading~

There is a section island that will remain empty for the possible future instalments of new infrastructure/shops No specific spots but I have just left the area were my nooks and ables is reasonably empty

I have space near my museum ready for The Roost if it is a separate building again!

I haven't planned for additional buildings since everything on my island is a wip, but I think I'll have space. literally nothing is done and I keep moving things around too much lol;;
I won't be opposed if the Roost came back as a standalone building, but personally, I'd rather it be in the museum again :0 I feel like the devs know that a lot of people's islands are finished, so adding another building could potentially ruin some plans,,? idk :o

I have specifically left space for the Roost in my shopping area. However, I did not plan for the Museum Gift shop so if that thing really is true, I really hope it's part of the museum rather than another external shop. It's not like I don't have room, I do, it's just that I don't have room in my shopping area and it would be a pain to reterraform the whole thing. But I am still prepared.

I’m glad I posted this I completely forgot about the Roost, good thing I just started on my museum area.

I spaced out my downtown area so that it looks complete, but still has room for future buildings if I just move the current ones closer to each other. Can't wait!

Yep, I currently have space in my downtown area for 2 more buildings. If more crops up, I don't have issues with redesigning my island. I'm sure I might want to redo sections every now and then anyway.

Haven't done much terraforming but my stores now are in a plaza area and I have definitely been thinking about space. Going to expand where couple more shops will be and put furniture too fill the area

Yep I made changes to my island incase if there is more buildings and left some spots for them

Yup I have a pretty huge strip of land dedicated for new shops. If there isn't any in the future I'll just make it into a flower patch haha

I have space near my museum that I'm considering leaving open for the Roost if/when it's added back.
I have a place where I can put other shops as well, I'd just need to move some things around!

potential future updates are why i dont like decorating every single grid on my island
