Least favorite thing in game?

Not having control were the villagers move. Your the mayor you should have some say in this.

When building PWP or houses them telling me I'm to close to something else.

The villagers personalities have been really cut back. Cranky aren't even cranky and snooty are just bland. Also I hate when they tell for thousandth time, "Hey you know you can stack fruit right?"

I also agree about balloon furniture. I miss being surprised by random stuff. I don't even own a sling shot anymore.

-Villager dialogue. Walt, I've told you countless times that I prefer Mac n Cheese. And Lobo, yes, I know the tag is itchy. You've told me that 3 times in a row. Can you not just tell me of any rumors?

-Balloon furniture. And honestly, Silver slingshots. I swear I see more slingshots in the air than I do the furniture.

-Moving villagers out. I miss the days when sending a letter reading 'I hate you, get out' and hitting them with your net would get them to move faster.

-Streetpass villagers. Ugh.

One of my least favourite things is also one of my most favourite things in a way. I LOVE that you can get PWP's, but I hate when you're trying to build one & it's "apparently" too close to something else, when in actuality, it's nowhere near it. This usually happens to me when building bridges the most, but it does happen with other PWP's.
I also don't like the fact that you can't choose where villagers can live - which I don't get since you ARE the mayor - so they can just plop themselves on a nice hybrid patch etc.
& I also agree with other people about the balloon furniture; I loved being surprised by what I got in a balloon, but now it's all the same furniture series which I, myself, don't find very appealing.

Since I'm not super picky about villager placement like most people seem to be, the things that bug me about this game are relatively minor. I don't like grass deterioration and the fact that it grows back so slowly. I also kind of wish the town maps were bigger. I also kind of wish you could move or outright remove rocks. >_>

What I hate about this game is grass deteoration. But it wasn't a problem when I played in WW, I don't think. I also don't like how robotic everyone is.

AND I WISH YOU CAN MAKE THINGS IN THE SKY AGAIN - AKA, MAKE STAR PATTERNS.

that was so fun. ;-;

I wish there was an official way to take off for a bit and still return with all of your villagers, rather than having them move away. I wish there was a faster way for grass to grow back. I wish there was more storage space. I also wish there was an official way to move villager plots. I also wish the maps were bigger and that the villagers had some unique dialogue in addition to their personality dialogue.

Like others have said, I wish there could be more variety in villager dialogue. Wish the folks who made AC would make regular updates for that :(

The dialogue seems to be really watered down in NL, a lot more than I remember it being in WW. The villagers rarely to talk to each other too, I used to love pushing them together so I could see what they were going to say to each other in WW :( I don't like the grass wear either.

Villagers moving away if you don't play for a while. If I'm playing this game, it's because I want to, not because I have to out of fear that if I don't, then someone will have moved out. There's a few other things, but that's really what annoys me the most.

I totally agree with what you posted. While I'm grateful for the addition of two new villager types, they seem lost a lot of their charm by losing some of the hostility they used to have in Population Growing and Wild World. You had to be careful about what you said to them because they could get mad or sad with the slightest provocation, in New Leaf you can pretty much say whatever you want to them and they'll just shrug it off. Cranky and Snooty villagers used to be jerks, and that's what made them memorable in my opinion.

Well, I guess that the villagers rarely talking to each other makes the event more unique.

Ohhh... this is what hurt me the most when it comes to New Leaf... why Nintendo, why?

"I think we need a little bit more dancing--shroom! Okay, that's better."

"What do you think of my outfit?"

"Get me fruit/furniture!!1"

I'm so over the boring dialogue and watered down personalities. I feel like I've said this 100 times, but I'll whine about it whenever I get the chance to. I'll watch LPs of the GC version on Youtube & remember how funny their personalities used to be. If they were going to water them down so much, the least the makers could have done was add more non-repetitive dialogue.

I was disappointed with animal villager interaction. It seemed far too close to City Folk's awful repetitive one-phase conversations.

I also can not forgive Nintendo for almost completely ignoring my section of instruments... I know that's silly, but I'd like to have the instruments I play in my house, and it's absurd that we don't have them. I say this because for keyboards, plucked strings, orchestral strings, and percussion, there is a vast wealth of instruments, you can get almost anything you want, to the point that they've started adding obscure instruments from those sections... But wind instruments... Not a single one is in the game. With the exception of the newly added bagpipes, which are a special item given by Gulliver, which I still don't have.

I can't help but feel a bit confused and offended by that. >.>

The mole crickets. They are so annoying, and they are everywhere!

Oh, and PWP placement problems and villagers dropping their house wherever they feel like dropping it, though I haven't had many problems with those yet.

Sorry of these have already been said, but off the top of my head:

Not being able to choose where new villagers move/or have sign posted areas saved for villager spots (like in WW).
Not being able to rotate PWPs...I don't want everything facing the same way!!! Also more PWPs, and more than 30 in a town.
More than 10 pattern spaces, even if it's just 2 more spaces, it'd be amazingly helpful.
More villager dialogue, or at least some way of stopping them saying the same things in a row. I've had villagers say the exact same phrase 3 times in a row, it's so annoying and puts me off talking to them sometimes!
I miss the observatory and wish we could make constellations again. Also miss messages in a bottle.

All in all, I love ACNL so I feel a bit bad about complaining :P

I dislike the limited pattern slots, and I'd prefer having more choices when choosing your town in the beginning

I miss the constellations and bottles as well. :(

grass wear, i honestly had a nervous breakdown and had to stop playing for a couple of months. i'm not really too fussed on it now but it did really annoy me when i started playing it and was running everywhere. i aside that the villager personalities seem to have been washed down a little. i'm not in love with the island, i think more could be done with that. also skin tone, jeez it's kind of worrying that we can't choose our own skin tone.

I was just thinking about that! They don't have any instruments like flute, trumpet, oboe, etc. Btw, do you play bassoon/tenor sax? (judging by your avatar/sig)
