There's already a thread for the game, you know...

http://forums.the-bell-tree.com?topic=7323983/

I just posted the video there.
I didn't look hard enough. Nor had you posted the video yet... so oh well.
Yeah, new topics are important because it ensures people see the new information.

Which topic it's in doesn't matter anyway, just that the information gets out.

Oh boy, SEGA's going around youtube deleting every video of it. Which isn't a smart move, if you let something get leaked all you can do it let it go, once they start removing everything demand for the videos back will just start and SEGA won't hear the end of it.
Ouch, seems a real dumb move on their part. Sure they want to quiet things down... but as you say, let it go.

So, I take it the 1-UP article about it was taken down too?

Not yet, unlike youtube SEGA doesn't have control over other websites.

It seems to be doing the same thing as NSMB Wii. No complaints, though, seeing that old 2D classics with a modern twist seem to turn out great.

No, it's true. We're past any Sonic 4, playing it would result in a time paradox of time.

There are better Sonic Games coming out that aren't a bunch of carpy remakes.

Remaking a game=NO IDEAS HURR DURR

Epic sonic now. :D

Is that real? If so, they really messed the model for Sonic up (again) in this game. It looks shiny, yet faded at the same time. .-.

Edit: Actually, it looks like it's just the texture... The model looks fine. =p

What so fun about moving a character constantly to the right? I never understood the concept of games like these.

Zomg, partial classic Sonic look =D
Ooooooooh.... .-.

I liked the classic look in the early nineties, which is when the style fit. Character designs change, I don't understand why some people are freaking out and demanding that Sonic games drop all the new designs and go back to the chubby Sonic design. XD

But, everyone can like what they want. There's always Homebrew and other applications for those who want the classic-styled textures. =p

For one, i just like the old Sonic due to nostalgia. Two, he looks more cartoon-y, which i prefer than the more realistic one.

* Developed by Dimps
* Four Zones + Special Stages
* Level design like Sonic Advance 2
* Busted Spin Dash and Jump mechanics, a la Sonic Advance 2

I don't have any problems with the game being developed by Dimps -- I liked The Rush games and Unleashed on the Wii, and I was expecting it to be only a few zones long given the distribution method, but the thing with it being basically a Sonic Advanced 2 duplicate is an instant put off.

I was running on a nostalgia high thanks to this game's announcement and the coming of Mega Man 10 and Pokemon Heart Gold, but it came crashing down as soon as word got out about it being as pointless as Advance 2. It all seemed so promising early on, like Sega was doing something right for once: Sonic's design had a perfect balance of old and new, the music was just right and it picked up right when Sonic 3 and Knuckles ended. v_v

You're really going to take the opinion of one person, who may even be bluffing, since he's provide absolutely no proof at all, as fact? That's even more silly than judging a game based on reviews from sites like IGN and such. Also, the game is still alpha. It's wrong to look at an unfinished game and judge it like it's complete. There's plenty of time for them to work out any problems. Although, if it does turn out like the Advance and Rush games, that's fine by me. I loved them. =3 Anyway, we've only heard one person's opinion (if he's even telling the truth, that is) and a few seconds of footage from an alpha version of the game. That's nowhere near enough information to base an opinion on. Wait until it's released and you get to play it yourself before you judge it.
