Landscaping ideas/interesting flower combinations?

I have quite a few empty areas of my town still, and I've been visiting tons of dream addresses to try to get ideas. I was wondering if anyone here has any good ideas for flower/tree/bush/PWP arrangements. Also, what flowers do you think look best together?

Ooh I'm in the middle of landscaping my town too ^_^
So far I don't have many hybrids at all, so I've been doing island gardening tours to gather as many flowers as possible. I think that any kind of white flowers mixed with a different color look really nice. My favorite combo so far is white roses and white/purple violets. I also like the combo of violets with lilies, and pansies with cosmos

Red and yellow
Purple and orange
Orange and red
Orange and Yellow.
Blue and pink

Maybe try placing flowers with contrasting colors or try grouping similar colors of different flowers together
