L and R buttons not responding?

So, on my old 3Ds (the one I play Moonview on) the L and R buttons no longer seem to respond, and I can't take pictures. What's odd is that in all my other games the L and R buttons work fine. I haven't been having this problem until a few days ago, and I was able to take pics fine when I first started the town. Anyone know what the problem could be??

I've never experienced this so I don't know, but is it possible your camera roll is full?

No, and if it was a message would pop up saying so when I tried to take a picture.

Ah you do get a message? Alright. I've never filled my camera roll ever so I wasn't sure if it gave you a message or not.

I just went all over Google and couldn't find an answer for you sadly. Perhaps use Miiverse for your screenshots for now until you can figure out how to fix it? :c

Yeah, that's what I've been doing, but you can't use Miiverse in multiplayer, like when you get a villager from someone.
