KK on a monday and other NPCs?

Those are older articles. The NPC spawn rate was changed in a recent update (I think the 1st July one) so that Leif and Kicks are no longer guaranteed visits. Redd now should show up every 2/3 weeks.

I realize they're older but it doesn't really change that any updates haven't per se fixed the coding.
I just recently did all this in this week lol. So, you still have the potential to have poor luck and not get Redd every two weeks...in my case over 3 weeks and many others reporting 19-22 days.

If I log in my game for two weeks and more straight (yes, with no TT as you stated) with no Redd spawn lol which can easily be see by his icon not being on the map (so not really a way to miss him unlike maybe Celeste if you don't find her easily)...then it's not really an opinion that he didn't spawn. And I doubt the others I've seen report the same issues and recently are wrong either.

But I mean okay lol.

he was so much cooler as a DJ in New Leaf.... loved the trap remixes and the island tune remix lmao.
but in THIS game he just comes and hogs the WHOLE PLAZA and my villagers get sucked in. Agnes and Curlos sat for an HOUR watching that idiot strum at his guitar. I hate not being able to just chill with my babies in the plaza, cuz no one goes into the plaza when it's being taken up like that.
My question is why Nintendo though it best to place him there

Oh my gosh. Kk on Friday and Monday is too much kk (it was my birthday Friday) . I’m not one to complain too much, I mostly can take things as they come, because I am not super invested in any of the other npcs, so I see them when I see them, but too much! Mostly, no one will ask to move now 4 days in a row. (And I love you well enough Freya, but it is time to go!)

I'm with Insulaire. Since the update that introduced Gullivarr, visiting NPCs show up at least once every two weeks. I always keep track as to who visits when the first week, and it hasn't been wrong as to the other 4 being there the following. Not saying you're wrong, but neither is Insulaire, at least not by my experience.

Yeah I've been keeping track too and it works exactly like this for me. I really love it.

i'm hoping this "cafe-as-part-of-the-museum" update speculation is real so kk can be banished to the roost instead of clogging the plaza all day, maybe then he can be like pascal/celeste/wisp and not take up a slot from someone else

It really got on my nerves having K.K show up on a monday. K.K is the NPC I skip the most, since I already have all the songs. I did get Gullivarrr today though which kind of makes up for it.

I really reallyy hope that this is what they end up doing. I would prefer it to how things are right now. I don't mind KK's visits but he does take up a ton of space and it's annoying that no one else can come on Saturdays because of him!

I had meteor showers on Monday and today for this week, so from what I know, Celeste is supposed to show up on one of those two days. I looked around on Monday and couldn't find her (I wasn't sure if the K.K. overruling other visitors applied to Mondays or not), but she's not here today, either, and I've gone around my island like four times or something. Initially I thought maybe she was behind a cliff or something on Monday and I missed her, but now I'm wondering if maybe Celeste was originally scheduled for Monday on my island, and then when the fireworks were added, she was overwritten and eliminated from my week's schedule instead of being moved to the other meteor shower day (today). If so, that kind of sucks because I now have a two-week Celeste drought.

I also hope K.K. plays in the Roost if/when that gets added. It's kind of pointless having him in the plaza for the whole day when you can't get anything until the evening, and I don't like how he blocks the doorway to Resident Services. He just gets in the way (and now I'm bitter about losing Celeste thanks to him if that's really what happened).

Not from the information I've found. I certainly don't get him every two weeks either in either of my towns.

You are guaranteed to have Saharah, Kicks, and Leif once per week on a random day. Gulliver, Labelle, CJ, and Flick then have the chance to randomly spawn on the other two days in any given week but are not guaranteed. You're supposedly given a higher chance if the NPC didn't visit the week before. However, I've definitely gone 3 weeks without having Redd on my island because I just spent a several days due that issue TTing to find him to finally get art.

Yes. The post you’re quoting is talking about the old spawn rates. Ninji, the data miner everyone gets their ACNH info from, already posted a while ago what I’ve shared in this thread: every NPC spawns at least once in every ten day period (M-F) and one spawns twice (except this period because of KK’s shift). Celeste and Wisp appear once a week unrelated to the others. This is the current NPC spawn rate.
