Kinda overwhelmed with the update

Ok so I'm really overwhelmed. There's 500+ new items and 50 new villagers. AC players are natural collectors and of course, I wanna get all of the new items (and Julia). Wellp, I have a few amiibo but no cards. There's 2 options: buy the amiibo/cards or purchase them in the Re-Tail section. I don't really want to spend my RLC but Christmas and my birthday are coming up. Many people sell the new items but I think their pricing is ridiculous.

Does anybody feel the same way?

Kinda. I can see how it can be stressful, but New Leaf has always had an underlying competitive edge to it.

I just sorta consider what I truly want and make it my prerogative to get just that. (I spent $12 on Julian & Lobo amiibo cards, lol)
What's really stressing me out is that I don't have the catalogue badge yet and adding items will only make it more difficult :/

I miss my 2013 self...I didn't really collect anything back then and just enjoyed playing the game.

God yeah. I didn't know about this way of playing the game, I just...went with the flow. And while I couldn't go back to that style of playing, I sometimes feel under pressure to get my town the way I want it

yep I'm super overwhelmed with the update. It changes my whole method of gameplay and I don't even know where to start!

I actually like how there's a lot of new stuff. since it gives me even more to work towards, now that I basically got every item before

what I don't like is all the new unorderables. it's like Nintendo actively chose to nullify the secret storage's usability in reducing the need for mail storage

I just came back to New Leaf after 7 months to see the updates and I'm really overwhelmed for sure. It feels almost like being thrown into a new game and I'm not even sure what to do with it, or myself. I feel lost, and since the update is new, there isn't one big guide to it, just a scattering of information in random threads. I feel lost, ahh.

Haha, same here, and I just updated my game today but haven't even scratched the surface! Hopefully I'll be able to get some of those awesome new items
