It was a big no-no doing this before the last update and it was a standard procedure to add a pic of a villager's natural move out request when trading villagers. Now with this new update 'glitched villagers' have been removed from the game.

So, is it now safe to trade a villager that has been forced out via the campsite? Sorry, if this has been asked already, I haven't seen any threads. If a discussion already exists on this, kindly post the link and I will close this thread.

i was worried about this too but was willing to risk it
my brother was using an amiibo of apollo to force out reneigh, who i really wanted and i didn't think i'd have a chance to get her again so i went ahead and invited her and it worked fine
i even time travelled a few days to check and she's on my island without a problem

i don't know if this changes anything but i should mention we did use local play not online

yes, it's now safe to adopt villagers that are kicked out via tent! i adopted molly from a friend that kicked her out with an amiibo, and nothing has happened to her.

It's almost certainly fixed, I did a test adoption with another user to see if the villager would glitch out and the villager didn't have any of the 'tells' that it was bugged. Said villager, Skye, has been on my island for two days now. Note that this villager is from an amiibo card AND was kicked out by an amiibo card.

Also, think about it... since version 1.2.0, have we seen any threads about users being effected by the "I've moved out." glitch since the update? I haven't!

However, still use precaution when inviting villagers and use the trick to check if a villager is bugged. After you invite them, speak with the 3-6 times extra to see if they speak about not having a place to go yet even though you just invited them. That's a huge indication that they are bugged!

But, other than that... the glitch definitely appears to have been fixed!

I appreciate all of the great responses that have stemmed from personal experiences! If I'm using this method, I'll restrict it to lower-valued villagers and offer refunds if, by some force unbeknownst to us, there are still issues resulting from this action.

Just make sure your visitor double checks by talking to the villager they are inviting a few times to see if they prompt an invitation again, and if they do all you need to do is put your console into sleep mode to boot them out, preventing them from obtaining a glitched villager.

Though, like we said, we don't expect anything bad will happen. But, precaution just in case!
