Kicking out a Villager.

Hello all !
Sooo I have a problem, I have been trying to get rid of Punchy for two days now, I've done the method I usually do and it always works, I just did it two days ago for a trade but I've been up for hours trying to get him off because I'm trying to get another villager from someone else & I feel bad because they're waiting lol x__x

Its like there is something wrong, I've got every villager like 4-5 times but not him, and he's not my last one to move in, it was Merengue.

This happen to anyone else? :/
Any ideas?

Unfortunately it’s all just down to luck. Some villagers are more stubborn than others. Just keep trying and eventually he’ll ask. Good luck!

Yep sadly its all based on luck, but don't give up! It took nearly a month but I finally got Sylvia to leave.

LOL that’s ironic cause i’m trying to get sylvia to leave too but she just won’t budge i haven’t spoken to her like since i first got the game lol

You're just getting really unlucky. A recent datamine confirmed that villagers are more likely to want to leave if they have lower friendship so if you get desperate you could start hitting him with a net or pushing him around until he gets angry to lower his friendship with you.

Every other time it only took 7-8 times tops before I go them but this is just crazy.
What method did you use? Maybe I should just try I new one

I'm past being desperate lmao, I'm rushing because someone is willing to trade a villager I love but seems like I just have to say sorry because he doesn't want to leave.
I'm gonna try smacking him with a net a few times to make him hate me, hopefully that works lol

You can try to hold onto a moving kit of one of the villagers you don't want moving out. That would make it a 1/8 chance of Punchy getting picked. Villagers who's home is being moved and those who were the latest move in are excluded from the rng.

Just RNG unfortunately Which method are you using? I use the 15 day one and it works pretty well. TT forward 15 days, then TT day by day and there should be someone with a bubble every day (except event days and saturdays)

Yep, sadly it took a month. There are still two villagers I have been trying to get rid of for over a month but with no luck I admit I was a bit rude to Sylvia, I gifted her trash or stones, attacked her with a net frequently, and pushed her around a lot lol. The day I complained about her to Isabelle, Sylvia decided to leave. I think that may just have been by chance though because I tried to complain about another villager to Isabelle so that they can leave but it didn't work.

It keeps rng.. sure higher friendship on the residents you want to keep help a bit, but in the end they still go in randomizer.
All I can say is keep decreasing him friendschip everyday by smacking a net on the head of Punchy or push him around and gift him trash

I always use this one

The person I was trying to trade with told me about the 15 days one, I tired it but after about 3 days it would stop and I kept having to go forward, I went so forward I was in winter lol

LOL this is the best thing I read today.
I didn't even think about gifting them trash ! Didn't even know you could do that lol. I always just smack them with the net or push them.
Hmmm I didn't think about complaining them to Isabelle either, I'm going to try both and see what happens.
