Hi i have a good amount of dreamies in my town and i am afraid that one will move with out me knowing, so i have some questions:

If a villager is in the museum, Main street, etc can they move still?

Are there any ways that will make sure that a villager that i like wont move?(if you have any tips please feel free to share)

They can still move ( and moved out villagers stay in main street for a while, until you can get them again I think.)

Just talk to them everyday (and all the other villagers as well.)

Yeah, they can move virtually anyday and if you don't pay attention they can just leave without saying anything!

Before I answer each of your questions, there are some things I should probably clarify. Villagers don't randomly move in a matter of hours, unless you're time travelling. They start thinking about moving some days ahead. Once they start thinking about moving, you get the chance to stop them, since they'll usually ping you about it. Sometimes you can also stop them from moving by talking to them once they've initiated the moving process. On their last day in your town, a villager will always be at home and their furniture will have been replaced by boxes. Only one villager thinks about moving at a time and someone can start thinking about moving as soon as the next day after you've told someone to stay.

A villager who is in your shops and museum (your Main Street) can still be thinking about moving. Whoever is visiting your Main Street is random, and the location of villagers changes every few hours, so you'll still have a chance to find and talk to that villager elsewhere. On their last day in your town, they're never in your Main Street or outside.

The best way to keep your villagers from moving is by making sure to talk to everyone at least once a day, and to talk to some villagers more than once. If someone is thinking about moving, they may let you know by gossiping about it. There's no way to force this gossip to happen, it's just random dialogue that pops up during conversations.

Usually, villagers ping you when they want to ask you to move. If they're not pinging you but you've heard from someone else that they're going to move, save your game, quit, load the game again, and go find that villager. If they don't ping you, talk to them a few times before repeating that process. Keep doing this until they bring it up.

I have a guide about not losing villagers when you go on hiatus: http://www.belltreeforums.com/showthread.php?209379-How-To-Not-Lose-Villagers-When-You-re-Away

Since you're asking about events, how far away is the event? Are you on the day of the event? How long has the villager been thinking about moving?

I know what events are, that's not what I was asking. I was asking how far away the event in question is in your game (or if you're in the day of the event) and if you know whether a villager has been thinking about moving for a long time, since it sounds like you're asking about a specific situation.

If you're asking about events in general, they're rarely a problem, unless nobody has told you about moving in a very long time or unless you're time travelling. It takes longer than a day or two for a villager to fully move out, so you usually get a chance to stop them in time, even when there are events coming up.

ok so i was talking to my villagers that are awake and they said Biskit wants to move hes asleep and also its the harvest festival is it possible for him to ping me

I usually am really specific about what day it is in my town so I know exactly when the latest ping was, but when I do keep it the real date I will do a mass check every 3 days where I just basically speak 3 times to each villager when they're outside walking and can actually ping. If I don't find a mover on the 3rd day I check everyday till I get a ping.

Also remember if you don't speak to a villager for more than a week they'll start to miss you. When they miss you they WONT PING unless you've talked with them to get the ''ohmg wher u been at?!?'' dialog over with.

I believe Biskit can ping after the event ends aka 10pm. Either way I assume it's unlikely hell move tomorrow anyway since it does take 5 days for them to finally get in boxes.

Ok thank you i hope nothing happens cause he is one of my dreamies and also i know in Wild World when a villager was in boxes you could keep talking to them and convince them to stay can you still do that in NL?

If you want to force him to ping, I think I've explained this before in this thread. At a time that he can ping, save your game and quit. Go to your 3DS calendar and set the date to a couple of weeks from now (or more, whatever you prefer). Use a new character to start the game. When your new character gets the map from Porter, confirm that Biskit is gone from that map, and quit without saving. Don't even go to the town hall. Go back to your 3DS calendar and set it back to the original date, when you last played as your mayor. Load the game and go find Biskit. If Biskit doesn't ping you, talk a few times and see if he mentions moving. If he doesn't, save, quit, reload, and go talk to Biskit again. Do this until he asks you about moving. If that doesn't work, try the same method again tomorrow.

Either way, like Dinomates said, I wouldn't worry about this. Unless you got your last ping several days ago and you've missed out on the gossip about Biskit for that long, it's unlikely that he'll move out tomorrow since they take a few days to move.

You can't talk to a villager in boxes and persuade them to stay (some people have said that you can, but if that's true, it's rare). You can change their minds once they've decided to go, before they're in boxes.
