K.K. Slider birthday message..?

My sister’s birthday was June 19th, and the date on the switch is the same as the real date, July 7th. We haven’t time traveled in a while and certainly not since this new update, but he asked about me writing a birthday message for her since her birthday is coming up on... June 19th???

This happen to anyone else?

Hm... is it possible that your sister accidentally inputted the wrong date for her birthday? Maybe she put down July 9th instead of June 19th?

On the Saturday before your birthday, friends have the opportunity to visit your to write birthday messages, as you've seen with K.K. Slider. That'd fit right with a July 9th birthday.

Also, did you celebrate your sister's birthday on June 19th or have you had no birthday celebration at all yet?

i remember hearing a thing that birthdays are counted by days and not the actual date so you get birthday celebrations at weird times if you TT? not sure though

Yeah, we already celebrated it on June 19th. This happened the first time K.K. has come onto the island since the new 1.3.0 update.

i haven't TTed, so did OP, and still it happened. so i don't think it had something to do with that.

and i don't think that birthdays are counted by days and not the actual date. because if it did, then if there's a day you didn't open the game to play then it would ruin the "days" counted, so that's just not possible either way. i think the game doesn't have a separate calendar of when we actually play, they just count the days loaded to track it for the nook miles and possibly for data but that's it. and i heard that birthdays are still celebrated regardless if you tt or not.

what i can think of is that after the update, they changed the scheduling for visiting NPCs. KK slider will show up on sunday instead of friday if there's an event on a saturday so maybe it affected that.
