the IRC Chat channel is still there, there just isn't the browser client.. so you'll just need to connect using an irc client.

I have it set to automatically log me in, if that matters. it just isn't "owned" by the bell tree, right? it's owned by everything animal crossing, or something? *is too new to know the differences*
