Just impulse bought a PSVita.. Help?

Hey guys, so I bought a PSVita the other day on a whim.
What games are there on it?!

For reference my favourite games are
Animal crossing
Pokemon
Destiny
Zelda
GtaV

And I really want to get into JRPG's but have never played a game that's got me hooked or into it yet.

So any advice on what to get would be great.
I know there is going to be some great games hiding there on the ps store waiting for me, I just need help!

Persona 4 Golden is a Vita game that's pretty good, so I hear.
I only have mine to play the HD remaster of Final Fantasy X though, to be honest.

 

[Story]

Tearaway is great.
Gravity Rush might be worth a try and pick up Sly Cooper: Thieves if you haven't already.
There is also Dragon's Crown and Rayman Origins.

Apart from the titles mentioned above, there's also Metal Gear Solid HD, Touch My Katamari, the Disgaea games, and Soul Sacrifice.
As well as various excellent PSP games available, like Loco Roco, Persona 3 Portable, Valhalla Knights, Black Rock Shooter, etc.
Aaand the PSOne Classics if you're interested. The only ones I decided to get were Metal Gear Solid, Silent Hill and Vagrant Story, but there may be titles in there that are close to your interests.

I second persona 4 golden. in my opinion it's probably the best game on the whole system, and one of the best games in existance too!

There are two PSP games that are must haves if you like RPGs. Trails in the Sky and Growlanser. Both should be pretty cheap and are on Vita.
Also there is Ys Celceta, great game. An Action RPG
Tales of Hearts R also came out today which is supposed to be good.
Atelier Meruru is pretty fun. JRPG that focuses on item crafting. There's 3 in the series on Vita, but I think Meruru is the best.
I haven't personally played them, but Freedom Wars and Soul Sacrifice are supposed to be good.
And of course you need Persona 4, FFX HD, and the Disgaea series.

great choice with persona 4! if you are looking for a good final fantasy game for the vita, I would reccomend final fantasy X/X-2! it was a fantastic part in the series

Is that a good game to get as my first final fantasy game ever? Never really played a proper jprpg through before so am a newbie!

There are a lot of FF games available to you, basically all from 1-10 along with Tactics. I might be missing something. FF4 is a fairly popular one, and there's the PSP version of it you could play which graphically looks really good. Then there's also the hyped up ones like 7 and 9.

I don't really like FF, so I might be a bit biased in it. I'd recommend you get 4, as 7 and 9 don't live up to the hype around them. I also liked 8's battle system, but its novelty wore off by the start of Disc 2 and I found myself bored with the game already.

Because the final fantasy games are separate entries (you don't need to play one to enjoy the others. the exceptions are titles that are specifically listed as sequels, like 10 and 10-2). I never really saw any final fantasy easier or more difficult either. They all have slightly different systems, and with each new game that came out, it's always been a little bit of a learning experience for everyone. The best I can do is reccomend you a title based on which one I thought had the best story. That would be 6, 8, 9, 10. Those were my favorites~ Good luck with this

(sadly, I have 4 on my ds, but haven't gotten around to playing it yet, so I can offer no input on that one. I do know it's highly praised. But 6 will always be mairen's favorite!)

AWWW YEAH NAOTO X KANJI.I am getting too hyped over it I guess.Its about murders in Inaba and this dude called Yu Narukami/Souji Seta who moves in and meets friends who assist him on solving these murders.You get pretty attached to them after a while though..but the new addition (Marie) Is probably the only thing I don't like about the game.The social links are really cute and you can date a girl on the game if you do it correctly 8).

Ooopsss people already commented on it so I feel stupid.You can play Star wars on it,you et to shoot monkeys and stuff.
Star wars Battlefront Elite.I never really played it but it sounds awesome.

Not sure if Elite Squadron works on Vita. Battlefront 2 does but Rogue Squadron does not. OP before you buy please consult this list primarily. Some PSP titles do not transfer/work on the Vita so I would hate for you to make a purchase and have it not work. There are also some titles not on the list that work via PS3 transfer (if you have one) that aren't listed like Valkyria Chronicles 2.

That makes a lot more sense now, I've always felt really intimidated going into final fantasy games because of the number after the titles. I never knew they were all separate stories! Thanks
