Just bought a second acnl

Not quite sure what I want to do with it. The previous mayor didn 't delete his save file so I still have his town. It looks like they didn't get too far but he's got 8 villagers. 9 if you count the one who has their house plotted.
Opinions? Thoughts? He's got kiki the cat which thrills me to no end.

Maybe make it into a second town, since you love Kiki. If not, maybe move her to your first file and turn the second into a cycling town? Or do that with the first copy?

He took all the items from the look of it and the nooklings still have their original store, so no catalog.
Thinking maybe of getting it to where I can see the catalog and order stuff, then move villagers I like over before resetting.

I would reset, it would be weird using someones account obviously for his name and town name, but hopefully you can find someone to hold Kiki, best of luck!

I'm thinking of waiting a bit to reset. Apparently deirdre was a prior villager of his so I'm wondering if there's a way to entice her back.

if I were you I'd start fresh like it's a brand new game, but that's just me. I don't like continuing someone else's progress

Well if you like Kiki and Deirdre I'm sure you can get them here anyway. A lot have mentioned how generous people are here (though sadly I've never really have come across these people except tumblr) with giving villagers so maybe you'll find luck your way.

Sounds like they either gave up WAY too early, or they restarted, and grew tired after the reset. I'm eventually planning on taking my used copy to the store to sell it back, but before I do, I was thinking of taking some of my Japan only items there, and dropping them off, just as a special treat to whomever buys it after me- assuming they're someone who's buying it for a second town of course, otherwise, they may not really know what it has!
