I've lost a villager, how can I find them?

Any helpful advice on how to track down a villager? When I go to the villagers home, the game just tells me they are out exploring the island. I have been up and down my island numerous times and unable to find the villager. The map in the nook phone only shows me the location of the house, not the villager.

Thoughts?

They can be in your museum or shops.
So, if you can't find them there then your best bet is logging out and back in to regenerate spawns.

Ok thanks!

I actually found him on your recommendation. He was hiding in the museum! Been trying to beat him up and cause the villager to be upset, complain to isabelle, to get him to leave, etc. etc.

Apparently villagers are safe from harassment in the museum!

This doesn't do anything to get them to move out, it's all rumours people spread. They'll move out when the game decides its time for a villager to move out, and it picks the one you want out.

If the game decides randomly for the time a villager moves out, how does the game know I want Marshal out?

Just from the interactions with Isabelle?

Have you checked the museum?

Edit: Awh yay. Belltree be buggin' out aaah

Getting villagers to move out seems hard nowadays. It's crazy

I have tried:

* complaining to Isabelle daily
* not talking to them
* hitting them with a net

Nothing worked for me, moving out was by pure chance. :0

I feel the same way! I feel like there was way more villager trading in NL. Maybe it's because it's still early in the game?

Hopefully people probably find some tips/tricks soon~ As of right now it's only amiibo and that's bugged, which is a major setback for getting villagers as well. :-(
