It's Official: My Island Is A Mess

Yeah not sure why they chose to do that. I just miss how fast moving flowers used to be, now it takes me 3 shovels and 4x longer to do

Sounds like there's a lot of flowers on your island. I don't have too many myself. Outside of natural growing lilies on my cliffs, I mostly have whatever I planted on the main tiers.

I have so many extra base flowers it's not even funny. I just want to give them away, but I think it'll take too long to get enough folk to give them away to considering a lot of people are running into the same issue. I might just trash them honestly since so many people don't need the base flowers anymore. I feel bad doing that, but they're starting to feel like weeds now.

I hardly have any space to put my new hybrids when they come, and I need them all grouped so that when I'm done breeding them, I can move them and start working on the areas in which I had them breeding in.

If I could just store them, it wouldn't be so much of an issue.

Same here. I was hoping to store either my lilies or my hyacinths until I started working on the actual landscaping part of my island. Sadly, I doubt even millions of gamers being in agreement would convince Nintendo to make this a QOL improvement.

My island already had a lot of greenery to begin with (trees, flowers lining rivers and cliffs). I've been trying to rearrange half my island with bushes.

Now I have random flowers everywhere while I try to figure out where to put everything. At the same time, I don't want to go all in as I know there will be more item types in the future.

It's a never ending cycle of island design suffering, really.

I was there yesterday and for a while with all my pockets laying all over the ground but I'm working on getting them picked up now as well as putting random things I like on the ground and all my extra stuff sold just to appease Isabelle and get terraforming unlocked

My island is so disgusting that it's kind of funny. I started out aiming for certain villagers and kept doing heavy time travelling to move people out, so there's flowers on EVERY surface from all the rain, and not in a good way. I actually don't really have to worry about weeds when I skip time because there's just so many flowers. I have no idea how long it'll take to dig them all up. I also ran out of storage so I just started throwing my junk on the floor. There's tools everywhere because I drop them for space then just forget about them. My island is littered with random pointless one square cliffs from accidental terraforming. I once cut half of my trees down to do something then changed my mind and never replaced them. There's abandoned broken paths everywhere. I live like a rat.

Sometimes I ask Isabelle for an island evaluation just to see her face.

my island is kind of a mess too! i really thought i would have it all pulled together by now since i had an easier time landscaping my town in NL, but it's been rough for me with all the flowers having to be dug up and the fact that there's so much more i can do now. i don't know where to really start, especially since bushes just got introduced, but i'm really excited to see where i can with this!

Not gonna lie, I been putting off decorating my island because my flowers have been growing non stop and I've been too lazy to clean them. I usually open my gates to my friends to take the flowers or even pay them in bells to clean it up for me haha

I leveled my entire island about a week ago so I'd have a blank slate for terraforming, only issue is, since then my switch's joycon drift has gotten even WORSE and it's making it a huge pain to build everything back up, I keep going to build a cliff in one place and then have it pop up in a completely different place, I can't even send my switch for repair because of the coronavirus

so I mean, my island is basically a flat plateau with no rivers lol

I actually had to thin out my trees the other day. There's 2 player characters on my island and we've each been planting money trees every single day. There was getting to be so many trees that it was getting hard to move around.

I have a new rule that I cut down money trees as soon as I harvest them.

I got the "too many trees" warning a couple days ago, cut a bunch down, and thought I was OK but I just got it again today. I need to go through and thin things out I guess. I did wonder if it was because my bamboo forest the trees were all planted too close together.

ive got bamboo, flowers, fruit trees and now bushes EVERYWHERE its ridiculous ajksdhasd..just hit 5 stars but im gonna have to rearrange things and get rid of some stuff if i want to actually use the bushes nicely x(
