The Mormons for example: From what I remember in the three Mormon churches I've been to, they allow Gay/Lesbian preachers/pastors/etc. My church (not the best example because I somewhat dislike the Nazarene denomination) is okay with it. They will tolerate it, they won't encourage it, but they won't shun someone or dispel them to hell because of it.
The Bible does say that the act of homosexuality is a sin, but I'm not going to go there because I'll bring up a debate because it's in Leviticus. Point being, I think it's already widely accepted.
And Jas0n, if you watch a show on something like lifetime (i never do, but my sister does) or abc or other soap opera-like channels, then you'll see that they over dramatize straight marriages too.

One MAJOR flaw with the whole damn book is that God gave us free will, then set about making 10 rules on which we MUST live by to get into heaven? And if not we are sent to hell for all of eternity? This theory totally makes the whole book into bull*censored.2.0*. If there IS a god why the hell would he go to the trouble of giving us free will then trying to limit it? I think that if he exists he just made us to amuse himself. Or just to see what'd happen. Hence he hasnt cured anything for us (e.g. Famine)

I think that is pretty much how homosexuality is gonna get accepted a couple of generations down the road and I think it will be much more accepted, of course, there will always be some resentment towards it.

Actually we get a lot of our history from the Bible, and there's been evidence to prove that a lot of it is true, you just have to sift out the stuff that's meant to be taken as literal and not.

The same passage that condems homosexuality in the bible also forbids playing with the skin of a pig, but how many red-necked overweight homophobes got drunk and watched that superbowl *censored.2.0*e right after coming back from their religious services on Sundays???

Oh, you have no idea. Being in a gay relationship myself, I just wish that this damn civilization would just grow up and learn to accept things that are 100% normal. My boyfriend and I live with his mom and grandparents, and because they're against homosexuality, we have to act completely straight as long as they're around. It *censored.3.0*ing sucks. We can't show any affection at all. We're being forced to live a lie. And it's not just at home. Even when we're out in public, we can't even hold hands, because there are people out there who will beat you up or even kill you if they have any reason to believe that you're gay. Crazy, I know, but it's true. The only time we get to act normal is if we're alone or with close friends. Point is, as much as I love the relationship I'm in, the rest of the world can make it feel like torture sometimes. That's what gays have to go through. It's ridiculous. This world needs to change.

Who's "we"? We get a lot of our history from something called archaeology, not the bible. I'm not saying it's devoid of historical facts, but very little of its historical claims have lined up with actual history, recorded or otherwise. Israeli scientists have spent a lot of time digging up ancient settlements from that area and have found little to no evidence for many of the peoples the Bible talks about. I suppose that could be because God slaughtered them completely, though.

It makes me terribly sad that people can feel so hatefully towards gay couples. The only crime they ever committed was loving each other! ;;_;; Obviously I totally support gay marriage.
Hopefully, with time (preferably not too much), people can get over their biases and come to accept that love is love. ^^
