Issue: Leif not appearing in town even though villagers talk about him

My villagers will have dialogue like, "Leif is in the plaza today, he's selling so many rare bushes/flowers". However, when I check the plaza, he isn't there. I feel like it's concerning that he still hasn't appeared, especially when my villagers mention him. Is there any way to fix this?

Maybe it's a back-log of messages? Did the same villagers talk about it twice or has it been once per villager?

i'm having this happen to me too! sherb said something along the lines of "you should go check out what leif's selling today" and i have no visitor in the plaza, the only visitor i have today is redd who allowed me to enter his boat for the first time

Multiple villagers have talked about it on different days. I tried TTing to 4/22/20 at 4:55 before the start of Nature Day to see if that would help and it didn't.

Hmm, I'm not sure then. I have only seen Leif once and there are barely any convos about Leif.

Yeah, no worries, thanks for trying. I'm just concerned I'm never gonna get Leif in my game now because of this weird bug lol
