"Island" or "Town"?

What do you say more often?

I used to call it a town out of habit but 99% adjusted now to the island life! 😂

I call it a town most of the time even though I purposely left my file wild and green like an island. People's city designs and patterns are cute, but I am more interested in the weeds and waterfalls.

I still call it a town from time to time considering I’ve also played Wild World, City Folk and New Leaf. I usually correct myself and say “no, it’s an island”.

I'm so used to saying "town" because of ACNL, so I keep referring to my island as a town... ahhhh. I'll usually correct myself, but it doesn't really matter since only my boyfriend hears me say it. LOL

At this point I'm convinced I'll call my island my "town" and resident services "town hall" until the day I die. I thought it would've sunk in by now but it... hasn't 😅

hybrid townisland for me. sometimes i find myself referring to my nh island as "town" because of nl habits but sometimes i also refer to it as what it actually is, an island. my decoration is also a hybrid vibe too like it's a mix between a town and an island, if that makes sense 😆

Island works for me better now, but I still call the resident animals "villagers." They're not technically in a village, are they?

I was saying town more often out of habit, I was seriously stuck in the New Leaf Days or something, but I've been trying to refer to it as my Island since it is. Although I guess it could also be a town on an island. Not sure what I should call it!

Most definitely town LOL, I've been playing this series for so many years it's just natural for me. I'm trying to get into the habit of calling it an island tho.

I think I fell into saying "island" rather quickly, but I do still say town on occasion. I call the animals my neighbours or villagers most of the time though.

I use to call it a village but drifted towards island the longer I play acnh. I still do get mixed up between calling them villagers and islanders though! Old habits you know?

I went with town.
Even when I’m doing online trades. I keep saying my town gates are open. Or you have a nice mayor.

My island isn’t really looking too island like right now. I think it looks more like a small town.

I usually refer to my island as... well, an island when I start talking about it, but as the conversation flows, I tend to switch to town for some reason...

Both my mom and I tend to say "town" more often than island. I kinda switch between the two every now and then, but definitely say town a lot more. I am however getting used to island though, so I guess that's why I switch between the two.

I always call it a "town" cause that's how it's been in all of the past AC games. old habits die hard.
