As the title says! I am a fool who wants Raymond because of many reasons but now.. to the data!

Here it is!

I've shared some of these before but I'm going to lock that thread because this one is specifically for Raymond. Also, I added around 300 tickets to the original results so things have changed! I'm going to continue my hunt of course, but I needed a break. After so many other cute islanders it's an effort to say no to them! ;c;

I'll keep this thread updated as the hunt continues! Just wanted to share a bigger share of data on Island Hopping! ^3^​

I totally get that! If I wasn't this far in already I would probably try some different methods or just.. patiently wait... but I am not patient and I'm already 500 tickets in! No looking back! I wish you luck!

I want all the octopus on my island, and she’s the only one I don’t have the amiibo card for, getting her is gonna be a hassle.

Octavian has also shown up lots! Which makes sense since they're the only two Octopus villagers I don't have! ^3^ And thank you so much!

I want all the octopus on my island, and she’s the only one I don’t have the amiibo card for, getting her is gonna be a hassle.

Thankfully they randomly roll for species first so you've got a good chance to get Marina island hopping if you have the other two!

How have you gotten so many NMT? I'm trying to save up to island hop to get him when Croque moves out of my town, but I only have enough NMT for 36... I know I theoretically could get him on the first island, but I could also not get him until the... 500th.

At least it shows that chance seems fairly equal! Though I feel horror when I see I've only seen so many cats..... And thank you! I hope you find who you're looking for too!

Ah, there's a lot of ways to get NMT! I know you can buy them off of ebay but you can also make loads off of selling certain villagers or items! DIY's go well, as does gold ore. Or you can farm lots of bells and buy NMT off of others! I had a have high tier villagers I sold for around 100 nmt or so luckily! But yeah, trading, I guess. I do have around 200k miles saved now from grinding but.. it's so much more work.

No one in particular for me! Just want to experience some new villagers. I did pick up Apollo at Island 4 yesterday for my friend. And yes... I don't think I've seen a single cat yet in around 40-50 islands! Nor octopus, even though I should have seen at least one of the three. I've seen at least a few villagers where I've walked off the dock and immediately back to Wilbur to fly outta there haha.

I’ve been saying this for the past few days and I still really think island hopping is a scam. Lol. This is after I was so traumatized when I was looking for my 9th and 10th villagers who I needed to be cranky and snooty to complete personalities in my island. I wasn’t even looking for any dreamies that time, just any snooty or cranky. Blew about 200k miles on tours and didn’t see any cranky nor snooty. I also had too many repeat villagers show up on the tours. Ended up with no one and had two randos move in. Talk about rotten luck. I was so frustrated that I told myself I’ll one-off and do an exception to my no TT policy to do the campsite trick. In a few hours I was able to not only kick those two randos out and replace them but I also got my boy Marshal. I was so happy. It was also tedious but at least it was free. Lol. I’m never island hopping again.

I used the campsite method to find Raymond!! If you have every personality but smug, and grind a bit, you can find him in a few days!

I forgot to say that island hopping had the feels of a night in Vegas gone wrong. You KNOW you’ll probably not gonna win anything but you just can’t stop. Lol. It really is a gamble and I’ve had my share of luck with it but I’m so sick of the cows, gorillas and hippos who repeatedly showed up. It was such a harrowing experience for me that I came to a point I didn’t even wanna leave Wilbur to check and see who’s in the island because it’s probably another loser.

Yes, take a break! It can feel draining if you spend a whole day doing tours. My last chain of tours was about a week ago but i still dont have the energy to do it again yet. I really hope you find him soon!

Yeah 400 tickets and no Raymond is why I choose the campsite method instead to find him. Not only do I not have that amount, but also not the patience. I was able to get another dreamie in my search for him with that trick.

Villager hunting reminds me of shiny hunting in Pokemon. Difficult and draining, but worth it! Currently saving up Nook Miles for a future Judy hunt. I really want my cute snooty bi-pride bear cub. I also have my campsite looking for her too. I don't have a snooty on my current island yet. I was really tested by Ankha showing up today, but it makes me feel better because I know it is working.

Good luck in your hunt, island hopping seems like a grind but sure you will feel great when you finally find the elusive Raymond!
