Is your town name unique?

My town name is Polaris, which is fairly generic, so someone somewhere most likely has the same town name as me. I do plan on naming my AC:Switch town Escapada, which will most likely be a common name in the spanish-speaking population. But, regardless, I'm not bothered.

Nice! For Nintendo switch I already have few ideas for a town name. But don’t like if I will be able to use it. Hopefully longer names will be accepted!

Well so far in this thread I didn’t see a name being mentioned by another user! So for now we can say there’s a lot of variety when choosing town names ^_^

Startown isn't an uncommon name. Last I checked there were many Startowns there, but I've never met someone, on forum or otherwise, with the name. My sister chose Moontown as her own town name, so ours would match.

Actually, they are stars! I didn't plan that, but it was a great surprise!

No, non lo imparo in scuola, perch? non lo offra. In scuola imparo lo spagnolo. Volvevo sempre imparare l'italiano perch? la mia famiglia ? italiana. Parlo spesso con i miei nonni nell'italiano (parlano anche l'inglese perch? abitiamo negli Stati Uniti).

So i just searched my town name, Velvet, in the dream suit and about 30 towns showed up lol! I will get another cartridge soon and i will try to make my second town sound more unique.

finally got around to checking via my brother's town, and yes, my town is the only match that shows up.

I named my town London because I had just visited London right before buying New Leaf and it's definitely one of my favorite cities. If I were to choose a name now, I would probably try to think of something more interesting/unique, but since it has a bit of meaning for me I don't think it's so bad. I'm not sure how popular it is as an acnl town name though.

I did a similar thing many years ago, when I bought my first cartridge of Animal crossing Wild World. At that time I just visited Tokyo and loved it so much that when I went back home and started to play the game, I called my town Tokyo. And I didn’t care that it wasn’t unique cause to me it has a special meaning ^^
