Sort of. The clothes are similar to things I'd wear. The hair is no where near though, as I have long hair tied back in real life. Nintendo doesn't seem to think there are males with long hair, Pokemon X/Y has the same issue. My hair in game is darker too, although that's because I gave up trying to get the right one.
Yes of course I have blue hair and a luigi hat!! lol no. I used to have red glasses that matched! (Now I have irl brown glasses) I keep my style the same though in the game and barely change the outfit since I like it so much haha That's kinda the only thing though besides that I have socks and boots lol I look nothing like my mayor xD
I guess my mayor is like me.. I love pink, girly things and my character only wears pink, girly things, haha. She also has blue eyes & I have blue eyes.. c:
I spent hours in the custom clothing maker for this exact purpose. That the exact same hairstyle/top hat/3-D glasses I wear in real life were available in the game was just dumb luck.
Some buddies of mine wanted to see what this New Leaf thing I kept talking about looked like, and when my mayor walked outside, they flinched. Stared at the screen. Looked at me. Then back at the pixels.
"How'd you DO that," one murmured, sounding scared.
Hah. My mayor can only represent me on summer, because of my skin color. But since I am light enough to relate to the character It doesn't really bother me all that much. Other than that, heck yeah she represents me.
Not really sometime I make my mayor look like me, but mostly i dress my girl character up like a stereotypical prince charming from a fairytale, blond hair, blue eyes, white frilly shirt and a princess crown. lol or i make her look like characters from my favorite anime or video games like Clocktower, Serial Experiments Lain, Yume Nikki and Rule of Rose.
