Hey! Gracie FINALLY showed up in my new town. Do you think I should feel bad and not TT back and fourth until I've unlocked the shop, or do you think I should just do it since it's been like 3 months and this is the first time I've seen her? This is my 3rd time having to get the upgrade for my game due to a game crash and then resetting my town. So I'm not really sure if I'm missing any excitement on waiting for her arrival since I've done it a few times.

I was just curious on your opinions. I am probably going to TT to get the upgrade because I'm tiered of waiting tbh

I TTed a lot to get the shop upgrades and it didn't ruin the experience for me at all. I find it more fun to play everyday when I'm not feeling impatient about something like that.

If you've done it a few times "legitimately" without TT, then I don't see why you shouldn't do it.

I don't think time traveling is cheating in general. I think people should do whatever they want with their copy considering they're the ones who purchased it. It's up to you, really. If you're in a hurry to unlock it, then TT. If you're in the mood for spontaneity, then why not play it normally? It might take some time though.

I think waiting for Gracie is the most stressful aspect of the Animal Crossing world.

I have talked to people online who played without TT and it had been a year and she hadn't shown up more than twice. In a year.

In my main town I am playing day by day. She just showed up two days ago.

I am going to keep my patience...for now.

I say Go for it. Get Gracie to show up. TT your heart out and get her to show up four times.

Then open your gates, invite us in and we'll all celebrate for you!

Mehhh just do it! i did it in my town and i didn't feel bad at all about it, i would feel bad if i had to wait months for the emporium

i feel like you can't really cheat at animal crossing. waiting for shop upgrades is bad esp when you're doing it again after a town reset.
animal crossing is a unique game for everyone so there's no right or wrong way to play in my opinion

I wouldn't consider time traveling cheating since it's an option the game gives you. However, I could see why people would say this is cheating since you are suppose to do four separate checks on four different days.

At the end of the day, it's your game and you should play it the way you want. Don't worry about others. They will never know unless you tell them anyway.

Time traveling is a mechanic in the game. It isn't considered cheating in my book.

technically you're using a loophole to get around the "intended" random wait time but it's seriously so long to get gracie "legitimately." once she shows up for me i'm definitely tting, i did in my last town as well!
