Is this normal for amiibo card characters?

All of the villagers in my town has been now acquired by scanning amiibo cards. My last villager that I got without amiibo cards, Marina, moved out in December.

I've been reading about how amiibo card villagers rarely move. Yet ever since a few weeks ago, every other day I get a ping from one of them saying they want to move. Weird huh? Naturally I prevent them from moving, Especially since villagers gotten from other ways pinged me to move every two weeks or so when I had them.

Another thing is that only Bam, Marshal, Phoebe. Diana and Fang have asked me for things like giving them greetings, catchphrases as well as coming up with nicknames for my character. Beau, Marty, Rosie, Etoile and June still have no greeting or have requested a new catchphrase. I've had the majority of these villagers for over a month now.

I've gotten a few requests from Etoile so far, but I have noticed I seem to get more from my non-amiibo villagers, none of the 4 I've moved in from cards have asked to move yet, maybe it's only when you have a full town of them? I'm not really sure. It could be because you're at ten villagers?

If all of your villagers were aquired via amiibo cards, then logically they should have the same chance of moving. The game only seems to prioritise moving out non-amiibo villagers rather than amiibo-villagers when both cathegories are in a town at the same time.

I know for a fact there's a mechanic like this because I had to literally give up on getting my dreamies in my first town, because the only ones that would ask to move out were the ones I wanted to keep (aka, all the non-amiibo ones). And it wasn't just luck-based either, since via time-travelling I've had 50+ "move out" pings, NONE of which came from my amiibo-obtained animals.

I literally could NOT get any amiibo villagers to effing leave no matter how hard I tried. I know some other people were able to with no problems at all but that definitely wasn't the case for me

I've actually come to love the feature that makes it rare for amiibo villagers to ask to move. 7/10 of Diamond's villagers came from my amiibo. Since June, Whitney, and Freya are the only ones who ever ask to leave, it makes keeping my villagers in town a lot easier.

Yup, that's normal. Pretty much the same thing happens in my town. If all of them are from amiibo, they'll go through the usual process of pinging to move every so often.
