Is this a problem for anyone else?

I tried to get the latest present from online and it said my access point wasn't giving out any presents. Has this been happening to anyone else? And how do I fix it?

I think they have stopped doing the presents now... I had the same problem and then I saw a thread on here saying that was the reason

They were giving out the tree stump chair in December but I think they have indeed mostly stopped.

Presumably they're no longer doing the thing where you have to be connected in a certain shop either.

If you had an Internet connection, you could go to the post office and get a present every month or so. It was basically like Animal Crossing: Let's Go To The City, in which you were mailed presents from Nintendo.
Sucks though, I was hoping they'd bring back the Nintendogs- I loved them

Why would Nintendo stop doing the presents?

Because the game is old at this point. There are still dedicated players at this point, but I guess Nintendo thought it wouldn't be worth it to keep doing presents with a diminished player base.

Not to mention all the presents are kind of already preprogrammed into the game and there's really not much more you can release once you've gone through them all.
