Is there any rule to planting island starts?

I'm planning on planting hibiscus in my seaside port town. Since they are an island flower, do they require special placement or are they the same as any other starts? Thanks for reading and any replies!

As far as I know, island starts are the same as regular starts! As long as you don't place them too close to buildings they should grow normally

I remember growing a lot of hibiscus in my previous town. I don't believe there were any problems.

They do grow under the same conditions as other starts (on the island they grow on grass as well), so I would think the same rules apply.

(In a youtube video a while ago a person's town was full of them, no problems with growing them)
