Is there any advantage to me watering my flowers on a day when it rains?

I know that the spawning rate for me and rain is 5% (or something like that). Should I bother watering my flowers? Does it help? I know people from other islands watering does help, rain or not.

Nope. Rain counts as you watering.

It only matters for golden roses, since you can water flowers that are already watered without any durability loss. If it rains, it lets you water each black rose for maximum results without worrying about the golden watering can breaking.
