I know there’s other methods of island planning, but there always seems to be something that bothers me about them. Basically I just need a transparent grid big enough to cover my entire island, that I can paste into procreate as a layer so I can plan my island manually. Does this exist? Thanks so much for any help - I tried to make one years back and it ended up messed up
I just wanted to hop in and say that I also planned my island in Procreate. Each time I needed to redesign the map layout I took a screenshot of my map, upscaled it with Waifu2x and then pasted the bigger image into Procreate to paint over on new layers. When I wanted to relocate the buildings I would copy them, the same with stairs and bridges. The results weren't pixel perfect but at least I had an overall structure of what I wanted to do.
I know this isn't exactly what you wanted to hear so I did a quick search and found: Reddit link - this looks like something you might want to use. It isn't transparent though (but changing the blend mode of the layer should do the job) and needs to be resized manually to fit the map which might be tricky. https://eugeneration.github.io/HappyIslandDesigner/ - this thing looks amazing! I just found out about this site, but if I had known about it when I started my own map planning I would have totally used it.
