Is there a way to trigger villagers to ping you?

Hello! I would like more reactions, but my villagers ping very rarely. How do I get them to do it more?

I don't think theres a set method yet, just make sure you speak to every villager every day since, sadly, it takes time for them to ping you again

I remember in NL there was a way to do it by filling up your pockets with nothing but shells, hiding inside for a while, run around, rinse and repeat.

Given there are 40 inventory slots and shells stack, it will take a while for you to gather and separate the stacks to even try this method out.

I think you can only get one reaction per day from your villagers! Not sure if it's a confirmed cap, but I play a lot throughout the day and I've only gotten maximum one per day.

Do you ever cycle your villagers out? I've noticed that every single time I time travel to boot somebody, I gain two or three reactions across 3-5 days. I'm not sure what triggers it, but cycling for move outs also triggers reactions.
