Is there a way to fix a glitched exterior?

I time travelled to kick a villager via amiibo card but then the new villager got the other villager's house. Is there a way to fix this? Like kicking the new villager with another card and waiting 3 days? and most importantly, will this corrupt my data?

moving them out and back in is the only way

it shouldn’t corrupt your save.

And you have to load the day the house is replaced by an empty plot. You have to do this no matter how you get a villager so their exterior is removed from the game.
