Oh my gosh, that's amazing. I'm glad I'm not the only one, lol.

Not hate but expected to dislike. First was Walt, he was my 10th villager. I've never been a fan of kangaroos and he's grouchy so I didn't think I'd like him but he's become one of my favorite villagers. And I find his grumpiness adorable. Also I've never been a fan of snooty villagers. They have softened their personalities over several games but I've never cared for them. I had Purrl and kicked her out, she seems to be in my town in every version of the game. Well dumb me only got one snooty reaction so I needed another one. Someone on here was giving away Soleil so I took her. And I'm surprised by how much I like her. She's really nice for a snooty. Usually the snooty villagers just rub me the wrong way but she doesn't.

There are several villagers that I didn't like very much or appreciate. Raddle, Monty, Sprinkle, Flurry, and Bruce. I booted them to make room for some villagers I was bringing in with Amiibo cards. But I had grown to like them and felt bad about booting them. There are other villagers I didn't like, such as Truffles, that I still don't like.

i never hated her but tammy was always one of those villagers that i never really cared about. but she was one of my starters, which i was indifferent to at first, but now i’m glad that i had that time with her. while she’s still not one of my favourites, she was the first to give me her photo and i grew pretty attached to her; i liked seeing her around every day and she did the ‘naruto run’ pretty frequently, which i found cute. that being said, i did let her move out when she asked, but i really enjoyed having her and honestly,, i kind of miss her aha c’:

I initially didn’t care about Rudy and had plans to let him leave asap but not only did I end up liking him, but I invited him back via amiibo card right away twice after booting him with an amiibo since I messed up his house twice (and he had the starter house the first time, so the first boot was inevitable). He’s now a permanent resident.

Tex isn’t a permanent resident and has been gone for awhile, but I was initially not happy with him since he took up the spot I was saving for Raymond. Once I found out he came from a friend’s void, I gave him a chance and even dressed him up and let him stay longer. Tex is now a smug I highly recommend, which is kinda funny since I initially had zero interest in him.

Omg I had Rudy as a starter villager in new leaf and I never really knew who he was but now I love him!!

She’s in my town at the moment and I’ve seen her naruto run as well hahaha if she decides to leave I can always let you have her again? She’s nice but I’ve got plans to invite another villager

I won't say "hate." (Hate is such a strong word.) I had a neutral interest to some of them such as Molly and Marina. So far, I am starting to understand why both of them are popular. I haven't decided though if they are going to become my permanent villagers.

I'm not particularly fond of the cow villagers and so I wasn't thrilled when Patty moved to my island. She grew on me though, she's a nice, sweet character ...

I've never had Croque in any of the games I've played [every one since WW] so I can't say that I liked or disliked him initially. He's another that grew on me, I'll be sad to see him go ...

I got Teddy as a starter on my second island and at first I was not into it but the more I experience him the more I've realized that I'd miss watching him eat donuts on the beach and get in the way when I'm terraforming. It's funny how with time and an open mind any of the villagers can turn from a big no to never leaving!

I had Ursula as a starter. I didn't hate her or anything, but I never thought that I'd want her to stay so long. Her house is absolute garbage bc 1. starter home and 2. i didn't think I'd keep her around, so I just gave her whatever items
She feels like a part of my island now though, so she stays <3

Renee is one of my starter villagers and at first I thought she was an annoying ditzy airhead ... but after a couple of hours I see that she's just really sweet.

I had Norma the cow and she really grew on me! When I let her leave, she ended up joining again! Haha she knew she grew on me

Tammy the ucchi cub, when I first met her i HATED her but she grew on me so much i even ended up buying her amiibo card (and for super cheap since she's not a popular villager)... I first met her in NL doe, so It hasn't really happened to me much in NH

I wouldn't say I 'hated' anyone, but I ended up inviting Ken as one of my starting 10 villagers from a mystery island. I wasn't excited about him at all, but I've been wanting to force myself to break out of my comfort zone and get to know some new faces. He's now one of my favorite smugs
