Is the mayor supposed to be allergic to bees?

If the mayor was allergic to bees, I don't think they would be walking after being stung so many times in one sitting. I've actually been stung by a lot of bees once on the arm (don't ask, I was stupid as a kid). My arm got pretty swollen.
