Is the Companion Guide worth it?

I hope so. But I wonder if Nintendo is even aware of it as the glitch was found on the datamine. As you said, they send mail and gifts and I wouldn’t even notice that there is glitch as it is not noticiable as say, villagers having wrong items in their houses.

Yeah, they might not be aware as it's not something people would be actively reporting.

I do have some gripes with the data mining myself though.
For example, saying that villagers with lower friendships are more likely to move-out doesn't seem to be working in my case.
I have Zucker now with whom I have one of the highest friendships with a move-out bubble for 3 consecutive days while the villagers I actively started ignoring since the data mine about moving villagers out was released, not wanting to budge.

yeah ;; it's inevitable what with the constant updates with the game, but also there's just info that's wrong to begin with (like for example, it says that sending villagers mail increases friendship, while datamines have confirmed that mail actually has no impact on villager friendship)
it's still very cute though, and i still might buy it just to have it c:

Oh true, that makes sense, and was my biggest worry about buying it--but I caved anyway, because I was hoping they'd include updates for the book in some way in the future since it was constantly changing.

There seem to be some lesser-known/reported glitches they haven't addressed or fixed yet because not everyone is aware of them or know they're glitches vs a feature.
(pls nintendo... let me remove others' custom designs from my villagers )

Also I'm unsure about the data mining as well. It usually seems to be accurate, but that one about move outs doesn't line up with a lot of peoples' experiences, mine included...
I've always had the villagers I actively talk to want to move out lmfao.

It's not worth it if you're looking for an actual guide. On internet you can find even better guides, but I think it's beautiful and I'm happy to have it just to look at it.

I like it because of the catalogue it comes with! To be honest, I just wanted it for collection purposes, plus I got it on sale so it's worth it for me! But for full price, I'm not sure if it would have been worth that.
