I’ve got Marina in my town and I’m planning on selling her.

Ive spoken ta couple of people on discord and Instagram about it and it quickly turned into a bidding war of NMTs

I always feel bad that people who don’t have many tickets never have the chance to buy their dreamies.

So I thought about whether Raffling popular villagers would be a good idea?

It could be One entry = 1NMT. Only 1 entry per island.

Granted you probably wouldn’t make as much off the villager but at least more people would have a chance at having a dreamy.

What do people think? Would you enter a villager raffle? Is it a good idea?

I think it’s a nice idea.
It’s fair and definitely better than having to pay an absurd amount of bells or NMT.

Sounds like a great idea to me!

A lot of us are playing this game as straight as possible and can't compete with people who time travel (or who make the most of having friends who time travel), so it's a nice way to be more inclusive!

yup that's the word, inclusive!

a lot of us still wanna be able to trade without time traveling. (earning that absurd amount of tickets can be acquired by scouting a popular villager and moving them out for an auction for example)

I love the idea too! I think it's just important to keep in mind that it could potentially be A LOT of work for the organizer! (Imagine a raffle for Raymond, prepare to welcome like 50+ people to your island to collect the entry fee haha)

I think it's actually one of the fairest ways for everyone to do it! Anyone can enter and the organizer still get some compensation, which can be still be pretty high in the case of tier 1 villager!

This actually sounds like a good idea
Even more so for a popular villager like Raymond

all my past villager "transactions" during new leaf were either raffles (for more popular ones) or first come first serve giveaways (for the less popular)

although I never had any entry fee myself either
