ok as i understood it Earth (as we dont know any better at this point) is Standard on which we judge all planets with life. ie Term Super Earth as the planet looks like Earth but is Way way bigger then we are so if that is true then , the Standard which earth is compared must change ie Earth is now Dwarf Earth. 1 can say Earth is not Classification but if you visit a planet that looks like earth and your from earth then it earth like ,but that alone does not change classification, what does change classification is what we dont know is if earth is nomal for it size as we dont have point of frame of

Reference to conpaire so it's not far leap from there to then say Earth is a Dwarf Earth.

we don't say dwarf pluto or anything earth is just the name for the planet we gave it. i'm not quite sure what you're trying to say, but if there were another planet like earth, we'd call it something different to differentiate it. earth is a terrestrial planet, that's already there to differentiate gas giants from terrestrial planets. we can't really say there might be a bigger earth, because we haven't discovered it. it wouldn't be true. mars is said to contain frozen water, so you could also say mars is a dwarf earth. but it isn't, it is simply called mars.

It's not a planet. There has to be criteria for what a planet is to separate it from other objects in space, and Pluto does not meet that criteria. Just because everyone though Pluto was a planet didn't mean we couldn't change our minds about that once more information was discovered about Pluto.

yes, i'm pretty sure it was officially recognized as a planet not long ago actually but i dont remember. i've always believed pluto was a planet though, it really annoyed me how they tried to purposely exclude it

i looked this uphttps://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_planet_types

as super Earth it is classied as planet Gliese 876D
That still doesn't explain why anyone would have to change Earth's classification. Earth analogs, as well as Super and Mega Earths, are planets that are compared to Earth. Simply because larger planets are found that are similar to Earth, doesn't mean that we will decide Earth needs to be re-classified, as it is the base.

We didn't regularly use Pluto to compare anything - it's never been an example of what we typically think a planet is. And with objects in our solar system being found that were comparable or even larger in size, we instead re-classified Pluto into this new group of dwarf planets.

Fair enough uou have your opinion i have mine. i also found this a vary cool interview about pluto .

Wile it does not shine light on our earth isshue it does raise some nice facts about pluto. and it is a good interview.

In elementary school I was taught that Pluto is a planet. In middle school my uncle, who's big into science, told me that Pluto wasn't a planet anymore. I got into an argument with my 8th grade teacher about it, telling her it isn't a planet anymore and she argued if it's in our books then it's still a planet. In freshman year of high school it started getting taught that Pluto was no longer a planet, and I really wished I could've gone to my 8th grade teacher and say "I told you so".

I don't consider Pluto a planet. It's moon is pretty much the same size for crying out loud.

Very much so yes, I plan to get a tattoo of poor little Pluto in the future that says something like "You Matter" or something. Poor baby planet getting bullied by the big planets.

#DwarfPlanetsMatter

I feel like Jupiter was just ganging up on him with Neptune and Saturn like shovin' him around like "You're not even big enough to be a real planet." "Look how tiny you are!" "Go back home to the asteroid belt!"

If by scientific standards of what constitutes a planet it isn't, then I can't argue and really do not care enough to.

heck yes..once a smol planet...always a strong smol planet in my heart!! u go Pluto!
