Is Phineas Bugged?

Phineas hasn't given me a Gold Villager Badge, which he'll gift to you if you've played at least 500 hours.

I'm a little surprised I haven't gotten it yet because I've played over 700 hours. (.__.'')

Has anyone else had a similar problem with Phineas?

He still hasn't given me my turnip badge lol -.- Well, let's put that aside. The only thing I can think of is that maybe Phineas will visit your town at a random time? I hope I helped...

I've played over over 500 hours and still not received it yet

I even got a badge yesterday but no badge for playing over 500 hours

Same, actually. I've played 600 hours now, and he still hasn't given me the badge. Although maybe he counts by the recent town hours instead of the overall hours. I recently resetted my town, so half of that 600 is from the previous town...

Phineas is horrible. He's supposed to show up during clear nonevent days . He doesn't show up even then for repeated medals for me or my friends . You just have to be patient. He will show up eventually but there will be much cursing before he does.

I usually don't care much for badges. If he shows up, that's great! But if he doesn't, I move on with my day

I got it a month or so ago though and I definitely did not play for anywhere near 500 days.

I'm kind of under the impression that time travel confuses your activity log and ends up making it take more hours to get the badge, or possibly displays the wrong amount of hours?

This has to do with the Town Tree being full grown (500 hours, 500 days). Just 500 hours is for the badge, which I have gotten.

I thought it was just clocking 500 hours as well. Unless the people who got it time traveled up to 500 days too?

Phineas have given me plenty of badges after I passed 500 hours, just not the Gold Villager badge. I'm not sure if he just plain refuses to hand it to me at this point.

Yeah I'm pretty sure it has to all be on one town. A similar situation, if you caught every fish but three on one character, then reset your town, then caught those last three fish on the new character, you wouldn't get the gold fishing badge.

I have 3 design mules, but I haven't I spent over 200 hours on them, that and I've never reset my town since I got it in June. :/

For gold catalog it says 80% but it's really 92.4%. How do I know this? I actually calculated it when I was trying to get gold catalog. Lol.

Well that explains it. I was in the same boat, but given this, I'm not really close....oh well.

Badges were a good idea, but the implementation feels highly erratic. Some of them set too high, some of them set extremely low....

Not sure if I'll ever cross 500 days. Then again, I'll certainly never catch 2000 fish or visit 500 dreams...

If you began playing on June 9, 2013 (and haven't reset your town or TT), 500 days would be October 21, 2014 (7 months from today).

It 100% for certain doesn't have to be 500 days. I got it in december or january (started playing in june) and I hadn't TT'd a single day.
