I believe that maybe people view him as being as rough as Roscoe or Apollo but then again I think Cranky villagers are rough in general? maybe these villagers are not as appealing because it's a fact that most animal crossing players are girl?

I like Lobo, him and Freya are my favourite wolves and I was so lucky to get them in my second town.
Sometimes peoples' tastes can vary strangely, I thought Goldie was a very popular villager but I couldn't even give her away the other day.

Wait Goldie is popular somewhere? I've always just thought of her as another pretty generic dog.

I'm not the biggest fan of the wolves to begin with. But his eyes could easily be one of the reasons he's less liked than the other crankies.

I really like the idea of a lazy wolf but.. eh none in NL.

i think maybe it just depends on people's personal opinions, town themes, etc
like someone with a pink cutesy town probably wouldn't pick lobo, unless they wanted to have him pop out a little bit ;;

I would totally have an all 'pink' or 'blue' villagers town, then just throw the dark black roscoe in there to make him stand out haha

but it is sad how some villagers are overshadowed by others

Speaking of Freya, I do quite like her, too...Lobo and Freya are the only two wolves that I like.

Lobo is my fave wolf; always has been. I had no idea he wasn't popular. I'll guess that his colour-scheme doesn't fit some peoples' towns.

The list never really fits, I think it's hard to give away populars because people vote and dream for ones they already have over again...it's the only way the wanted list never changes..if you have them don't list as dream...unless you want them in all your towns or if cycling don't vote because that's manipulating. T ones seem even hard everyone has them that wants most I run into want t fives and they get auto void,,,maybe take the list away and see how the boards go without a guide telling what to want then make a new one without bias...my opinion.

I'm not sure I understand most of that, but if some is what I think it means, I think you are assuming people only want certain villagers because someone else told them to. I highly doubt it. People like which ones they like regardless of a list. I certainly do not get certain ones because of what others say, but get who I like. Others likely do the same. Who would truly want a town with villagers they don't like but get just because a list says so? I think you underestimate people. And the list doesn't tell "who to like," it tells "who people liked in what order."

Besides, the list is only the result of observations in one Community, and it only came after a length of time. Taking it away will accomplish nothing because if a new one arises it will be the same way - out of observations of the activity and posts in a Community. There was no bias that I know of in the original. Where did you get that idea from? Maybe I missed something, but I don't think so. The creator was unbiased as far as I could tell.

But yeah, overall Lobo is terrific! They all are, undoubtedly. After all, the personalities are the same within each group. Other factors then come into play.
