Is it possible to keep the villager's house intact?

It's possible but extremely hard especially if they put things in retail and someone buys it and when they request furniture you have to decline and say you can't otherwise it will turn up in their house. Are you trying to keep the house in tact for selling purposes or do you just want to keep it that way?

I've already put items in retail with high prices and left my patterns as umbrellas with the sisters and I also have the Town Concierge bagde, so I can decline those requests...
I want to keep their houses because I like to keep it as fresh as possible, it bothers me when they use another forniture.

I think it would be very difficult. If other villagers ask you to deliver a gift, don't do it. Obviously, they'll display clothes and furniture in their houses. That also means you don't want to send gifts in the mail (other than maybe fruit and stationary) because those could also be displayed. If they sell something at Re-Tail, you can buy it and send it to them in a letter. Usually, they'll put it back in their house...but not always in the same location.

Yes, there is, but you really have to go out of your way to make it happen:

• occupy all spaces on re-tail with your stuff. priced at 999.999 too, just in case
• if they ask for fish or bugs, simply don't accept or deliver the fish/bug
• do not sell them furniture if they ask you to
• save and continue before delivering a package (clothing can also be put in their home), if they accept it, close w/o saving and don't give them the package
• don't do toy day (exceptions are fruit, wallpapers and carpets I believe)

I've been very successful in keeping the houses exactly as they are so far, from the villagers I want. It's a bit bothersome, but after so many frustrations with my old town, it's worth it for me!

Thank you all very much! I'll try to just do things like deliver fruits and sign petitions and stuff like that so I can keep their houses that way.

It's really not that hard, I do it with several villagers whose houses I think are nice the way they are. Like everyone else said, you just have to pay a bit more attention to what you give them and make sure your Re-Tail is always full

Also be careful when a villager asks you to bring another villager to their house, since they usually want to give them an item c:

Hi everyone, thank you very much for allk the information it has helped me a lot!

I have just one more question: what about the clothes? Is there any way to avoid the villagers to trade clothes between them? Freya is using Eugene's clothes... :(

When villagers bump into each other outside and have conversations, they sometimes trade clothes like that.

There really isn't anything you can do to stop these conversations, but if you want to change a villager's shirt, you can try mailing the one they should wear to them as a present.

Note that this doesn't always work, though - the villager might just display the shirt in their home, which is problematic if you want to keep homes original as well.

Sorry - there's no easy answer for shirt-changing.

Ok, so except for their conversation outside, there's no way they chaage clothes, right?
I woke up one day and Freya was using Eugene's clothes, so I thought this could happen overnight or something like that...

ha! that isnt as funny as Monique wearing Fang's tux i gave him for his birthday

For changing clothes, you could try to carry the shirt you want the villager to wear in your inventory and hope that villagers pings you and wants to buy your shirt and then puts it on. I'm not sure this always works though.

I have one more question: if I agree to bury the time capsule for my villagers, when I dig it up back will they get the item and put in their houses?

They will usually give you the item from the time capsule

From my experience, every time my villagers bought shirts off of me (it doesn't matter if they put them on or not), that shirt appeared in their house too, I don't really know why. And that meant that they replaced a piece of furniture to put that shirt on display.
