Is it possible to get all gold nuggets hitting the money rock for the day?

Has anyone been able to do this? The most I've gotten was 4, which I just experienced today.

Yes, you can. What you do is your dig 3 holes behind you before you start hitting the rock. This will prevent you from bouncing back when you hit the rock. Then you just press the A button as fast as you can and you should be able to get all 8 money bags.

I wasn't talking about the money bags. I knew about that already. I was talking about the gold nugget ore that you get by either hitting the breakable rock or hitting the money rock with the silver shovel.

I'm pretty sure it's possible to get all gold ore from a money rock with a silver shovel, however, it's probably extremely unlikely unless the probabilities of getting gold ore are dependent other factors. If not, then I'd imagine the probability is around the same as rolling all sixes with 8 regular die (approximately 0.000059% chance) since there are 6 ore types and you can obtain a maximum of 8 ores from the money rock.

It must be quite rare, but I have gotten 4 golden ore from one rock - the rest were random - a sapphire, an emerald and one silver.

But it could happen if you're really lucky!

Haha, yes you can ^^. There's a small chance that when hitting the money rock in your town with a silver shovel that you'll get ores popping out instead of bags of bells! I think the odds of it happening are around 10-20%.

That's a really cool statistical way of thinking about it. Thanks for sharing! Yup, you can get ore from the money rocks. That's why I carry my silver shovel instead of my golden one.

I know what you mean, I'm still discovering these little obscure things from time to time; silver axe has a higher chance of making rare stump patterns than gold axe, the gyroids in Club Lol can be changed out, and just recently I tried putting my character in a maid outfit and noticed that the run animation changed.

That's a good question. I know gold shovel makes it more likely to make money trees. If someone can tell me whether the amount on the money trees can change depending on what you buried that would be useful. The silver shovel thing is a chance and not w guarantee so there's that. I've never buried money trees, but if they could be 99k bell bags that'd be useful. I only know of the 100 bell bag ones.

Are those the odds? I don't remember exactly but I think you have two scenarios, one with random ore and one with the same type for all (random). Who knows what the ratio between the two scenarios is :S I know I have gotten several (like 2-3) times that situation (in a few months of playing) so I don't think those are the odds.

Definitely a good question. I also wonder if you have to account for the scenario where you get money bags instead. I've taken stats but I'm not the best statistician.
