Bells

I mean like the people who have 9999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999 (sorry I felt like doing that:) bells in their account so they can get gold badge etc
but then it makes everything so easy to pay for

I think I kind of miss feeling poor in the game where whenever I need money I had to go fishing and do the money rocks, it's like a main activity in the game getting money

I have a second copy of the game where I'm going to do casual beetle farming, not intense where you chop all the trees etc. and probably just buy cheap furniture etc. make a poor themed town :D

I guess kind of. It's like the Sims in the sense that when you have an abundance of money in which you can get anything, there's nothing left to work towards. Since I have a lot of in-game bells, I'm able to pay off anything I want at any given time. I don't have to work for it. With that being said, yeah, the game has gotten a little stale for me. The only things that I have left to work on that you can't buy with in-game bells are the badges.

I dont want to have a lot of bells because I enjoy working for them. I refuse to catch bugs and fish on the island to sell because I want to earn the bells the harder way - waiting for the seasons to come round so I can really bring in the mega bucks! :)
I've enjoyed doing it so far and will continue to do so. I guess doing it my way, you do need a lot of patience as house payments and PWP take more than a day to pay for, but when you wait and work for it you feel great about it (does that sound really sad lol)

:)

Yes i earned to much money to fast within my first month of owning my game i had over 100 mil in my bank cause i would play non stop catching bugs on the island and turnips helped as well.

So What i do is i dont use my money in my bank i have a number written down on a piece of paper so i know what i had in there from before i put the cash i earn the hard way

I think nothing is wrong with it. Money like in real life makes life easier.

You can get pictures of villagers, unlock stuff. After all once you've unlocked all the game is gonna be a bit more boring. I think AC is a game you play to reset once you've got what you want, of course this sucks to do so you probably need a second game or just not play it as much.

AC is and stays a game that's not meant to be played hours in a row it's meant to login to every once in a while or every day. It's like having an aquarium you do not look at the fish for hours straight you clean the tank you add stuff you feed the fish you do these things. But your not gonna be in the haul with your aquarium for hours.

I guess it depends on what you enjoy about the game.

Personally, I don't always have a lot of time to play, so it's nice to be able to spend those precious few minutes checking up on my villagers or decorating my town instead of running the same errands. When you hit a certain amount of money, your ability to catch bugs and fish and sell them to Re-Tail doesn't go away, so I still do those things sometimes when I have more time in my hands or miss those features. I have two side characters that I play with, and while I get my mayor to transfer money for them sometimes, I'll usually do the hard work with them.

You don't really have to choose between one or the other, unless you think you'll slack off more if you have lots of bells in the bank. Even if you do, if that helps you make the most of your game, I don't see why not.

Not to me. I like buying out Gracie Grace and making my house fully expanded.

Yes.Hand out your money to the peasants ,I mean...villagers...if you're bank begins getting to full...That will make them like you more as their dictato-mayor...

In some ways, yes. Things are too easy to get. So I do know what you mean. But it may also be that after a year of playing, its hard to stay challenged and to find new tasks, its all sort of done, lol.

I'd rather have some money laying around than having to work super hard for the house bills and public projects.

nah-to me it helps alot when upgrading houses, buying rares and villagers, building pwp's, etc. but i guess it really depends on the person

No, I personally wouldn't think it's boring, since I tend to spend a lot more when I have more bells. I'm trying to aim for 50 mil right now.

I haven't really used my bells much since I got my gold savers badge, except for helping family and friends with their (ACNL) mortgages and stuff. I already completed my catalog months before I finally got to 100 mil, so I don't really need to buy much any more. I wouldn't call it boring as such, I'm sure if I ever need to buy a villagers or change up the theme of my town, the bells will come in handy ^_^

From my experience, it's boring if you cheated or cut corners to earn bells but if you worked hard for them, it's not. Maybe it's because you appreciate what you have a lot more if you got there the hard way. All I know is that I'm not bored of New Leaf after over a year but I got bored of Wild World in less than a year because I TTed for bells and took a lot of handouts.

No not really.. the game doesn't get boring when you have a lot of bells.. It only gets boring if you don't know what to do with it... I saved up to 100+m for the badge, and things are easy to pay for but that doesn't mean you're done with the game.. What I did was to set goals for my daily acnl life.. Just last month I decided I'm going to fill out my encyclopedia.. It was challenging and time consuming, but it was fun.. I also set a goal to restore villager houses to as original as possible... as well as achieve the other badges which you can't use bells for like the letter writing badge and the weeding badge, etc.. As I always say, this game is beautiful because it has so much potential and it's up to you to make the most out of it... Just because I have bells to spare, doesn't mean the game is over because everyday I find something new to do in town.

I have a lot of bells and don't find it boring. I've been playing since the release and don't plan on stopping.
Right now I'm working on redoing my museums. It was mostly storage but it got cleared out tonight.
Spa/bathroom is going in one room. Fruit/flower stand in another room.

When my friends leave their gates open I'll pay their PWP or leave some bells. Also have given a lot of bells away on the island.
Usually give to those that are polite and don't ask. When I sale perfect fruit or turnips I give them 1/3 of my earnings. They took the time to let a lot of people in.

I was rich for a while, it was great! but now I'm poor XP
so I would say no :P
