Change the end time of an auction right after it was supposed to end? It happened and really seems unfair.

It's the host's option to do so, it is really unfair and rather frowned upon, but it all comes down to the host.

Now it states times and what not are their own rules, I don't see how it's fair but it's to the sellers disgression after reading the rules, but I'll let a moderator clear it up for you.

Yes and No Maybe the OP needed more time, or felt like the price wasn't fair. It's their stuff, they can sell it however they see fit. I've extended bid times before, but I needed more time.

I believe it is against the rules, unless the OP explicitly states that the auction rules are subject to change. I'd recommend PMing a staff member about it and include a link to the auction in question.

Unless the OP noted in the initial creation of the thread that the end time is subject to change, they can't just decide to change their rules after the auction ends or else they may receive negative feedback from users.

This, unless the OP explicitly stated prior to the auction beginning, I would leave negative feedback.

If you believe you will want to extend the time later on in your auction you need to give fair warning to your bidders by letting them know you may extend the time. If the OP doesn't say something along the lines of "Auctions times may be extended" then you should always stick with the scheduled end time. This warning should be posted BEFORE edits in the OP so as to not confuse your bidders. At the end time, the person with the highest bid is the winner.

i did this with a auction. I told bidders that the end time might extend a day because i might have to go before the end time and it was extended. This is ok because i warned bidders about the end time extended!
