Is eBay safe?

Well, I decided that I should join in on the eBay fun.
I already have a few products in mind but, I have some questions for experienced users.

Are there scammers in eBay?
If I get scammed, can I do something about it?

Well you COULD get scammed, and you can report it, but it is not 100% that you will get your money back. If you get the item and it is not like it said, then you have the right to get a refund. MOST people on there don't scam sooo yea. About 75%

You can get scammed, But I have never got scammed, I know someone who got scammed by like 400 euro.
They bought the item, Then the aco**** closed their acount

I heard about this guy who bought a PSP but when he opened the box, he found an old school Gameboy in it's place.

First off contact the person
Read about the item
Did they put a lot of thought into it or did they just post bad pictures and little information
Just know who your buying from

I did get scammed once cuse i was buying a wii, and thew person wanted 50 so i gavce him my CC (credit Card) number so he could take the money out. Then i never got the item so i canceled the card, he never got any money that i know of and i didnt get my item.

I've been using ebay for years, haven't been scammed once. BUT, read up on the seller before you buy anything, see their reviews.

ive never been scammed, though i know a guy who scams >_>...not mah friend
my suggestion is you read EVERYTHING, if they don't write that they're either not selling or selling you something else they can get into serious trouble with the law and you should be re-payed.
and check the seller's % of reviews (good or bad) i dont buy from people with less than 80% <_<

Ebay sucks. One of my parents' friends got scammed. She paid for the item but she never got it. She kept trying to contact ebay but nothing.

like 5 years ago some guy said he was selling a "xbox" but i bought it for like $100.
but it turned out it was a email called xbox@yahoo.com i ended up getting mah money back though..

eBay is pretty cool. I lost the charger cord for my camcorder battery, and a new one would cost $190!! But then I found a different battery charger on eBay that with TWO EXTRA BATTERIES (and they cost a lot) for ONLY $10!! And it WASN'T A SCAM!! ^_^ And then I found my cord. XD

i got logitech speakers for 0.99$
and they were brand new DDD

i haven't gotten scammed yet and i've bought like 5 things off ebay ranging from $15 - $80
