I am curious about what this tablet gaming craze is all about, and also, let Apple tell it, an iPad will change the way you do certain things. However, mines will mostly be for gaming. How are most tablet games. From what I see, some of them are money grabbing microtransaction machines, some are mindless time killers and some are just uninspired crap.

Why would you get an iPad just to play games?

I don't know, what else are iPads good for? lol

Tablet games are fun, but you usually get bored of a single game in a week or two. I bought an iPad to lay in bed and browse the internet. It is more comfortable than using a laptop in that respect. I also use my laptop to read ebooks (ps: download barnes and nobles nook app and buy ebooks from b&n since it is cheaper than buying ebooks from apple by $2-3 per book). Anyway yeah an ipad is worth it is you want something portable and comfortable to browse the internet, watch netflix, read, and game. However, if your only intention is to buy it for gaming only then it is not worth it since most games on the iPad aren't that entertaining (fun for first few days; then time to find another app).

Uhh the ipad sucks for games in my opinion. And it crashes way too easily and there are not many interesting games out there. There's a few games I have on it that I play sometimes to pass time (like zombie smash and some bejeweled type game lol). It is however, GREAT for other apps. I've been obsessed with this stop motion app lately... there's also a lot of awesome music making apps that I like to play around on. Like Kirito said, ipads are good for laying on your bed and browse the internet. I take mine to school everyday instead of my heavy laptop so it's nice and portable too. I recommend getting it just for the variety of apps you can get... Most of them are pretty cheap too if not free.

I don't play games in ipad (except dj max . . . When bored) I buy ebooks and read.

The iPad isn't worth it if you're just going to game. The apps in the Apple Store are lame, like the only game that would actually be fun to play on the iPad would be jubeat (well from my perspective that is) The games on the app market right now are like angry birds or something idk. However, I use my iPad for surfing the web, watch videos, read and I use it for school too to organize my assignments. I find it much easier to use for researching.

Games aren't too great honestly. But anything else is good, probably except the camera :x

Yeah, I got one for my birthday but I use it for emails, maybe browsing here and there. The games are NOT very good on it. Mobile games never really are, with the exception of the Grand Theft Auto ports, but I've found them really awkward to play so I just gave up after a while. I could never see myself completing them on the iPad.

It really isn't a gaming device. It's good if you want it for other things primarily, such as browsing or typing, with a few games here and there to fill gaps. But solely for gaming? Not really D:

spending like $400 to play flappy bird is worth it IMO

I can only really think of a couple of games that don't get boring after the first few days.

To be honest, I wouldn't recommend getting an iPad just for games. I mean, you can always get books on it or browse the internet while you're on the bed rather than using a laptop. However, it could be a bit too heavy and it'll fall on your face loliunno

However, I don't think it's worth getting an iPad. If you already have an iPhone or smartphone, just stick with it. If not, then an iPad is pretty cool too. My dad uses his iPad like a computer, I guess. It's actually pretty useful to him, considering he already has an iPhone and computer. But, I already have an iPhone, so that's why I think it's a bit unnecessary to buy an iPad. On my iPhone, I don't even play games. All I do is browse the internet late at night in my bed.

I keep an ipad mini for school work. My dad uses his ipad for business. Using an ipad for gaming is pretty pointless to me. xD

ipad sucks period! and dont get me started with iPhone...

iPads are good for:

1. Internet

Browsing the web on a tablet of any kind is great, you have a larger screen to view on and they are just good couch devices. xD Definitely take a tablet over any smartphone for internet browsing any day, that should be obvious lol.

2. School

They are portable, and are quick to use. Basic document editing is okay, IF you have Pages. (Maybe Microsoft Office for iPad, but I don't know how that is yet) Google Drive stinks on iPad, but is great on computers. The way it instantly syncs all of your documents across any device you log into Drive with is extremely convenient.

3. Social

iMessage is GREAT if you know someone else who has an iOS device. It is quick, intuitive, works great, and provides a typing indicator so you know when the other person is about to send you a message, delivered and optional read receipts. It is great to know when the other person has gotten the message but just hasn't been able to look yet, for whatever reason. Also, you can have a larger screen to view social media, like Facebook and such, but I don't know if their apps are any quality since I don't have Facebook. (Or Twitter for that matter) and Instagram does not have an iPad app so you need to use it in the ugly expanded form, which is tolerable but inconvenient. You can use PadGram for that but it is eh.

I don't enjoy playing games on devices like iPads or iPhones. It feels limited and I can't take it too seriously. It just doesn't feel right to me xD So I wouldn't recommend you purchasing an iPad ONLY for games, because there really aren't too many serious games you will enjoy for long, mostly they are just time killers.

Don't bother with an iPad. Too big and tablets are better. Sheesh I remember trying to play flappy bird on massive iPad air.

Our school gave us all free iPads for "schoolwork"
in reality we snapchat and play games all day.
if you give 400 high school kids an iPad what the hell do you think they will do with it. Kids actually got in trouble for selling them for a profit XD

That's what I play mine on and my high score is 152
